Wonderful, rural, and relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a positive experience! Our kids loved the space to roam and play, Raven the horse, and some much needed independence. We enjoyed using the trail as a family and exploring the creek. We can't wait to go back in the fall to unplug again! Highly recommended, there is so much to do within an hours drive to Kentucky Down Under, lakes, rivers, and many cave experiences. The owners communicated easily and made sure we had just what we needed.

It was just perfect for us

  • 4 of 5

This was my second stay. It is a peaceful, homey, comfortable home. Perfect for meeting my family from Raleigh. It is thoughtfully equipped, just like having a home away from home. We are so thankful to the owners for the opportunity, and will stay there again!

Perfect spot for our get away

  • 5 of 5

We found this house when searching for a place to stay near Green River Lake. The house is only 20 minutes from Green River Marina with plenty of parking for our truck, boat trailer, and 2 other cars. It was exactly as described. No fancy hotel, but a clean and comfortable house that accommodated our family well. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and cookware we needed for making meals and there was pleanty of seating outside to watch the stars and enjoy the country atmosphere! The owner was easy to contact and very hospitable!

Clean, Quite & Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed our time in the country and the privacy this home provided, yet close enough to town and the lake to take in some sights and local food.

Very Relaxing Country Getaway

  • 4 of 5

Granny's Country Cottage is truly out in the country with farms all around. It reminded me of the home my grandparents built in the 1930's even to the same style of attic (watch out for the low ceiling on the edges!), which brought back fond memories. There was plenty of room for our family of five. We especially enjoyed the porch and the porch swing; it was a great vantage point for watching the storms roll by and since the wind was from around the corner of the house, we sat out there and stayed dry. If we are in the area again, we will certainly see if it is available.
