Welcome to Camp Sunset which is the rarest of rentals on Oneida Lake because it has it all! No compromises here! There are very few rentals that are not on top of one another with a sandy beach, HUGE YARD, gorgeous sunsets over the water, dock, huge yard (size of a soccer field) and located on a private road (very quiet and lots of privacy) and still be within 10 minutes of Turning Stone Casino, Sylvan Beach, the Boxing Hall of Fame and the Town of Canastota (close to a grocery store and Rite Aid). . Our property has undergone a complete facelift and has all the amenities. Behind the house is wooded. A four bedroom cottage with an eat-in kitchen and living room. The yard is large enough for lots of outdoor activities and the 300 feet of lawn runs down to a sandy beach and beautiful area for swimming for children of all ages. Approximately 50 feet of lake front with a sandy beach and 950 ft of shore to explore. The Dock sits in 2 to 2.5 ft of water. Lots of room to roam and plenty of parking. The sun sets over the water and can be seen from the outside or inside the house from the large picture windows or sliding glass doors. Large beach area for campfires as night.
Pets allowed - $75 per pet

This will be our 6th year staying here. The cottage is clean and family friendly. It has everything you need. The yard is great for outside games and I love the beach and water. Great fishing out front as well!
We stayed at the property for a week with family ranging from 1.5 yrs old to 80! Everyone had a great time. The cabin itself is not luxurious by any means, but it's adequate for places to sleep and bathrooms. The bedrooms are small, so just know that it might be a tight squeeze if you have more than three in your family in one room. The outside is great - huge yard, sandy beach where you can walk into the water, kayaks, a canoe, a row boat, a dock, a fire pit, beautiful views of the lake and a lovely sunset. Also, we went to the Herkimer Diamond Mine with the kids and they loved it. It's close to Sylvan Beach - lots of restaurants and an old amusement park, and downtown Canastota. We went to a restaurant downtown called The Toast and they had good breakfasts and lunches. The hosts were very responsive and provided all the basics you'd need. The nearby Walmart and Rite Aid were easy to get to for buckets, shovels, extra beach towels, etc. We used the grill and liked that a lot too. Overall, we would all recommend this spot!
We had a wonderful time staying at Sunset Camp! The name says it all. Very large front yard. We had plenty of room for all five of us. Owner was very helpful if we needed it. Highly recommend this place to anyone, especially with children. We hope to be back!

This is one of the nicest camps we have ever rented. Clean, comfortable and cozy. The neighborhood is so peaceful, and the view from the huge picture window in the kitchen is priceless. Brian was attentive to our every need without being obtrusive. We highly recommend this lovely camp to anyone, young or old.
The house is on a beautiful, large property at the end of the lake. We had plenty of room for our large group, very comfortable! The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed to have a carefree stay. We'll definitely be back next year!
Despite the fishing being off i could not imagine a better place to pass the time. The house was so close to the water, and the location was not far from places to eat and see. The house had a great TV, and everything we wanted on our trip. Including a fire pit on the beach. I would love to go back with my family. I highly recommend this place.
