Convenient, adequate, hospitable
To start, covered parking and beach locker are conveniently located below the bldg. Condo was adequately furnished, bright, airy with great view of ocean/beach. Sea colony has lots to offer to hat kids and adults enjoyed
couple of towels left under sink that had been used to mop bleach leaving bleach smell. 2e took care of it even though manager offered a cleaning crew services. Futon slats were broken and manager offered to replace after our visit so we ended sleeping on the mattress on floor. It was fine.
We'll be back next year if dates work out.
Great place for families
Nice and clean condo. Property owner very easy to work with.
Matt very attentive host.
Matt was excellent to work with. We had some trouble with the AC when we arrived and although he was out of the country, he responded immediately and had a repairman there within an hour. Great location, comfortable unit.
Nice condo, perfectly located!
My family of four stayed at this property for 4 nights recently and really enjoyed our stay. The highlight was the balcony with lovely view of the ocean, as well as the condo's proximity to "downtown" Bethany Beach. There really is no need to drive once you arrive (although the parking space in conveniently located by the condo entrance). We walked to the boardwalk full of shops and restaurants many times throughout our trip. We also has access to the western portion of Sea Colony, which is a lovely wooded area. But really, it was hard to tear us from the gorgeous sand and numerous pools the beach-side offered. As for the condo itself, it had everything we needed (although I will say it was different to not have bed linens or towels available. I've stayed in many Homeaway properties and have never encountered this. Was a little inconvenient to have to pack and bring these things ourselves, especially because you must bring bath + beach towels. but it wasn't a huge problem.) The condo does offer a garage locker full of everything needed at the beach - chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, etc, - so that was very helpful! All in all, my family enjoyed our stay immensely and definitely recommend the property.
More attention and transparency needed
Unit needs more attention and owner needs to be more precise.
As for the unit, missing slats in sliding door shade caused kids to be awoken at 6am sunrise. In MBR, had to hang a towel on window rod to prevent light from coming in as shade had fallen. In general, needs some TLC with loose knobs throughout and other general upkeep. Also, the futon does not sleep two comfortably. It was too small for my relatively small teenage daughters. Had to buy a blow-up mattress for my son and hand-pumped the one in the unit. The unit is not meant to sleep 5 people, even though the owner states it is. We had two blow-up mattresses in the living room the entire stay. Lastly, and most disappointing, I found out upon check-in that i had to pay a non-trivial fee for resort badges to get to/from beach and other amenities (whatever they were). Owner failed to mention this additional, mandatory cost. It was not difficult to contact the owner, he just needs to be more in tune with the property and transparent with all costs.
We really enjoyed our stay at this location.
Charming, clean, comfortable and spacious. Really loved the beachfront balcony.
