About Kristin Schwab
I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and have resided in Philadelphia since 2003. I am a cooking instructor and community chef. I love nothing more than to host meals and gatherings at our shore home. I hope you will enjoy sharing it with those close to you as well.
Kristin Schwab purchased this house in 1995
Why Kristin Schwab chose South NJ Shore
Ever since I was a kid, I have enjoyed going down the shore to Ocean City. My parents never owned a house in OCNJ, but my godmother did. When I was younger, we would stay with her for one week each summer. When I became a teenager, my father purchased this house. Ever since, we have shared it with friends and family throughout the year. Sadly, my dad passed away in 2005 and left the house to me. Ever since, I have rented it during the season and shared it with friends and family during the off season. I have rented through Vacation Rentals since 2011. In 2012, the home was hit by Hurricane Sandy. I spent a year and a half elevating and renovating the home. After putting in much TLC and brand new EVERYTHING, I was once again able to rent the home starting in the summer of 2014. I am excited to share our sunny beach-themed home with you. I hope you will enjoy Ocean City as much as I always have.
What makes this house unique
I love our home's natural light and close proximity to sunsets over the bay (see the picture). In the morning, you can read the paper in the sunroom or watch people ride by on their bicycles. Our house is conveniently located far enough away from the boardwalk to be quiet and close enough to be able to enjoy it throughout the day.

Relaxing and comfortable stay
This bungalow had all we needed and more for a fun and relaxing vacation! Kristin's property was immaculate and very close to many attractions. Definitely hoping to be back and would recommend to others!
Very comfortable clean and enjoyable place to stay.
My wife and I shared our honeymoon here. The place is in great condition and is in a better than expected neighborhood. The area is quiet and feels very private for a house that was on the corner of two steets. The worse thing for us was probably that we had to provide our own sheets and pillow cases. Next time we would probably bring our own blankets too, since I was a little concerned as to the last time they were washed, but I guess I'm just paranoid. Over all, we were very happy with the place and would go there again if we had the chance.
Great, relaxing getaway!
The Bungalow was a great place for a relaxing girls weekend. We had 7 adult girls staying at the house and there was plenty of room space. The house was just as described and was clean. It is in a quiet area and an easy walk to the beach and boardwalk. We had a great time! Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!
Great Location, Great Bungalow!
My husband, 2 year old daughter and I stayed for the last week of August and had a blast. This was our first visit to Ocean City and we found the location of Kristin's house to be perfect for our needs! We needed it to be quiet for toddler naps and at night which it totally was and the house was super clean! The only thing I would recommend is for our family size, the two rooms separated by the only bathroom worked perfect for us but the bunk beds in the room our daughter stayed in has a FULL bed on the bottom, just an FYI for sheet sizing. Our daughter was sleeping on a twin flat sheet and we made it work but I had bunk beds = twin in my mind so that's what we brought.
We will definitely stay again, really love this place and Kristin was super responsive and easy to work with!
Beautiful house - perfect for families!
We enjoyed our week in this house so much! It's been recently redone and the decor is really peaceful and beautiful. There was plenty of sleeping space for 8 people, and that was with only one person in each double bed. We had everything we needed and all of the amenities (dishwasher, washer, dryer) worked great. There's a nice space under the house to keep bikes and, even though there's just one bathroom, we used the outdoor shower too to speed things up (it's very handy for coming back from the beach). The house is a comfortable walk to the beach and an even easier bike ride, and we also loved heading the other direction (only a couple of blocks) to the bay. It's beautiful and we enjoyed biking across the bridge and back to watch the birds and boaters. Also, we had a small snafu in the middle of our stay - misplaced our key - and Kristin was incredibly helpful, even though it was late at night - we really really appreciated her hospitality. We would definitely stay in this house again on a return trip!
Comfortable, amazing value
We loved our week at the bungalow! It was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The furniture was totally loungeable. The (teenaged) kids had a few block bike or longboard ride to any place worth going to on the island, and just parked under the house when they came home. They showered outside, which kept all sand out, and made the one bathroom plenty for us.
The updated, 4 bedroom house is way more than you'd expect for the price and frankly, unbeatable. I would say, the only con for me was that it does not have a porch, but it was a concession I was willing to make for the price. Coffee in the sun room area was plenty lovely enough.
