Cute, cozy, and cheery...this little ranch house on a quiet street in the quaint fishing village of Wenona, a small community on the southern tip of Deal Island where crabbing and oystering are a way of life is a perfect and peaceful vacation retreat. Eventhough water view is from just one window in the house, what this does mean is that you are very close to water...just minutes from a public boat ramp! This little house lives large and pleasant with its newly remodeled kitchen offering plenty of counter space, lots of big windows and bright light, and fresh paint throughout. We have so enjoyed this home and hope you will too with your next visit to Deal Island.

The house is very clean in a very quiet, beautiful location. The Kitchen is well equipped, and there is lots of bird watching nearby. Hope to make it back someday and bring our little skiff for some fishing!
Nice and clean. Suited our needs very well
Great cozy cottage. Great communication from owner. She let us have a later check out due to the fact no one else was scheduled to rent it
Worked great for us!
Good location for what we needed it for! Thanks again!
Relaxing place to be!
We really enjoyed our long weekend at this cute little house. It's very comfortable, with nice furnishings and a large eat-in kitchen. But I have to say, my favorite place was the deck and the yard! The yard is large, lots of room for lawn games. Best part is the geese who come in the morning...mostly in the neighbors yard...but fun to watch, and the Deal Island deer who come in the evening. Pretty cool thing to see when we live in the city! It's a nice and very quiet neighborhood, just really a pleasant place to be! The owners keep it very clean, that's a big plus for me. Lots of puzzles and board games. TV only gets one channel that we found, which was enough, we mostly watched DVD's in the evenings. It's a beautiful island and we just really enjoyed our time there. No traffic, no noise, a perfect vacation spot if you want to get away. About an hours drive to Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and maybe an hour, twenty minutes to Assateague Island National Seashore, both worth visiting.
Hi Rhonda & Denis,
So glad you enjoyed your stay! Sounds like you love Deal Island as much as we do! I am glad our Little House in Wenona was accommodating for you. We work hard to make sure it is a clean, neat little home. Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay! Come Again! -Mary
Perfect little getaway near the water.
Cute little house tucked away in a small neighborhood on Deal Island. A short drive to the marina. Star gazing at night on the deck was just perfect.
So simple and a sweet little secret vacation spot.
100% was perfect and exactly what we could have hoped for. Loved the island, my husband is a fisherman and was so happy with this area, and the beach was so great for our little boys. We could park with in 10 yards of the beach and there were only ever a couple people out there at once. We also talked to a few of the neighbors and they couldn’t have been nicer.
Just make sure if you have never been to this area, there are limited food/grocerie/restaraunt options, especially at night, so you either will have to drive 20-30 mins away or just make sure to bring enough food with you.
Over all we could not have asked for a better place- clean, simple and a nice comfortable, quiet getaway.
Hi Virginia, So good to hear your stay on Deal Island was so agreeable! Thanks for staying with us!
Please come again!
Deal Island is a quiet, friendly fishing community in the heart of "crabbing country"; do not be surprised that your neighbors will be professional watermen some of which offer chartered fishing tours that leave from Deal Island making fishing and boating perhaps the most popular draws to the area. There is a small public beach area (on right as soon as you cross the bridge onto D.I.) that is great for swimming, surf fishing, and finding sea glass and shells. There are multiple areas of public lands in wildlife management areas on or near D.I. which is great for hikers, birders, kayakers, as well as hunters. Since the island is so flat and home to some very courteous drivers, biking is also very enjoyable here on D.I. The annual Skipjack Races are held every Labor Day weekend, and is a wonderful event to capture the local culture and flavor of the island.
