The view was lovely!
The house was just as advertised; clean and comfortable. We had a great time.
We really enjoyed our stay at Laurie and Dan's Lake Crescent Cabin. Everything was just as described and Laurie and Dan were very accommodating. We enjoyed everything about the visit, we especially enjoyed the company! Laurie, Dan, Mary and David are amazing! Looking forward to another visit soon!
The Lake Crescent cabin was a perfect place to spend a week relaxing on the lake. There are kayaks for guests' use but we brought our own. The cabin was well appointed and comfortable. The owners and other family members were nearby and were the nicest, loveliest people you could hope to meet. There are so many nearby attractions that we were rarely around during the day. We visited Rialto Beach, the Hoh river rain forest, Sol Duc Falls on the Sol Duc river, Hurricaine RIdge, and Port Angeles.
We had one of our best vacations ever here. One of the most memorable part was watching the sun come up on the lake in the morning and watching it go down in the evening.
I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful Lakefront Retreat!
The location on Lake Crescent was perfect. The kids loved the dock, slide, and diving board. The view was beautiful, and access for kayaks was great. Dan and Lorie and the family there could not have been more helpful or welcoming.
The house was perfectly clean and well supplied. The only thing that needs improvement is the uncomfortable bed in the smaller bedroom.
We had a wonderful stay and have already booked for next year.
Perfect spot to enjoy the lake, and Olympic National Park
We stayed here for 5 nights as a group with two couples and a baby. It was perfect! Dan and Laurie were the best hosts. When planning our trip to Olympic National Park we considered staying in two locations so we could see more of the park, but we thought with the baby it might be better to "plant" and stay in just one spot. This cabin was ideal for a lot of reasons. It's maybe a little further to most locations individually, but it's not that far from anything. Two days we went East and visited Hurricane Ridge one day, and went to Port Angeles for a whale watch the other. One day we went to Sol Duc, kayaked on the lake, and had lunch at the Lake Crescent lodge. And two days we went west to beaches/rainforests (one day Rialto/Second Beach and Hoh, the other Ruby Beach and Quinault.)
So location wise was perfect for us. The cabin itself was wonderful and charming. The water may have been on the cool side but it was refreshing for a swim after the day spent hiking (and not freezing at all) or you could just sit on the dock and put your feet in. While there is no AC, keep the fans going and you'll be fine. Cannot beat the wonderful views.
An outdoor table of some kind to use when grilling, or to just enjoy the views from outside would make a great addition. We stopped for some groceries at a Safeway in Port Angeles, if you plan to grill grab a bag of charcoal too.
Charming cabin with stunning views & tons of outdoor recreation!
We loved our 4-night stay at this great cabin that sits right on Lake Crescent. Clean and comfortable, and more spacious than I expected. The owners were friendly and helpful. The cabin has a well-maintained green lawn (and flowers) that we enjoyed by eating outside on a picnic blanket overlooking the lake. There are great trails nearby for hiking, too. The water is great for swimming and boating. I loved the full-sized fridge and found all the basics I needed to prepare meals and feed my family for several days. The beds were comfy, and the towels were soft. Good water pressure for showers. We relaxed and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The antique furniture and vintage wall art helped give the feeling of being far away from the hustle and bustle of modern life; I could almost imagine being on the lake in the 1930s. Nice stay.
