My husband Jim and I are both retired. I worked for the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville AR.for 30 years. Jim worked for 30 years in Rogers for Glad manufacturing as a mechanic. We have 2 properties on the lake and we live near the rental. Jim and I started a construction company J&W Anderson Construction Inc. which we run now. Jim loves to fish. I like to read and work around the house.

Why Wanda Anderson chose Lowell
We love the lake, fishing, boating, hiking and swimming. The property is located between Springdale and Rogers AR. When we purchased this property my husband worked in Rogers and I worked in Fayetteville, the location of property is half way between Rogers, and Fayetteville AR.
What makes this Cabin unique
We have a wonderful view of the lake, large rocks for climbing. Fishing and swimming across the road. The Hickory Creek Marina is just across the bay, and 6 mile by road. They have a swimming area and play equipment. A nice deck to swing and watch the sunrise or set. We do have Wifi, our mobile signal is not good in some areas. We do have a phone in rental unit for guest use. Phone is free and you will have access to calls in USA only. The phone number will be posted on phone.

Not exactly a pleasant stay
While the property itself sits on a beautiful plot of land with very nice views of the lake, the house was very run down. After several attempts of contacting the owners, they never honored their proclaimed military discount. They also never provided a key for our arrival. We were constantly calling, trying to make arrangements for them to come open the doors for us, which was really inconvenient and frustrating. Also, their dog-friendly tag is questionable. They kept a pitbull loose on the porch the entire time (even in 20 degree weather, poor thing), which became a nuisance when I needed to take our dog outside for bathroom breaks, as the pit wouldn't leave our dog alone. The pitbull didn't seem aggressive, but because he wouldn't give my dog any space, I was very nervous the whole time. We ended up having a couple people distract the pitbull and try and keep him on the porch, while I slipped out the back door with our dog for a quick bathroom break, then immediately ran back inside. On the second day of our trip, right before we were leaving for the day, one of the owners finally came to drop a key off. He unsettled us by spending about 10 minutes there, telling us he didn't believe dogs should be in the house, how many guns he had, and all about his troubled son who lived in the adjoining property. It was very uncomfortable. We could not have been more ready to leave the next day. Great views on the lake, but overall, not worth putting up with the rest of the unpleasantness.
The person referred to is no longer on the property. The dogs were not out in dogs were not in the cold except to go to the bathroom, eat and drink. they are housed in a storage building. The dogs do not belong to us. we ask guest if the dog was bothering them she stated no that the dog he was very friendly. If we had known there was a problem. When they were here my husband would have taken care of it. I am sorry they were not happy. But thing that we are not aware of we can not address. I was in the hospital at the time, with heart problems, double pneumonia, and had hernia surgery a few days before. We would be willing to have give these guest another stay with a discount charge. I did not know they were qualified for discount I will call and take care of discount.
Right by the water
This is a good place to stay with your pet. The lake is right across the road. The yard is spacious. The owners are wonderful to work with throughout the process. We hiked at Hobbs State park, visited War Eagle (ate there too and it is good, southern food), shopped in town, ate in town at Penguin Ed's BBQ (again, good food) and we kayaked Beaver Lake.
Very nice house, with all the amenities.
This was the third time we stayed there this year and had a really good time. The house is kept very clean and is well stocked with kitchen utensils, towels, etc. Jim and Wanda are very nice people and quick to provide anything you need.
We have not forgotten, I have been in the hospital and Jim did not keep up with taking care of bills, but wil get money in the mail soon s
Sorry I've been so
Relaxing, inviting and quite getaway place
This was perfect for our family for a weekend in the ozarks for a wedding. It fit all 10 of us very comfortable.it has a nice open plan when you enter the house, the front patio is a wonderful place to watch the sunrise over the lake. Easy to get to lake, the boat was a great addition to our trip.
Wanda and Jim respond so quickly to our questions and concerns. They are a wonderful hostess, with a great property.
Thank you so much for the hospitality, wanda and jim.

This is a quaint place with plenty of great beds.
The house is super clean. The beds are very comfortable. When I had questions Wanda and Jim were wonderful to respond and help us.
It was interesting that a neighbor lived right next to the house. There was never a problem, but it looked junky (neighbor stuff) when we drove up. We enjoyed the pontoon boat, but everything is just old and been very loved on. This property is on the bluff side of lake. We were able to keep The boat there though. The rocks make natural steps down to lake. I have teenagers and we enjoyed jumping off bluffs and swimming. It’s only about 12 feet high and lower.
a nice quiet getaway
We enjoyed the area. It's was away from the crowds and a nice place to relax. A couple things to keep in mind. You don't have private access to the water, you are across the road from what is basically public property you can use and it's not well suited for small children swimming. There were very few people using it while we were there, but that could be different at other times. The house was in somewhat of disrepair, but for the cost I still believe it was a bargain, I would recommend it, but those are 2 things you need to keep in mind when booking.
