About the Owner

I have lived in Prescott since 1995 and can't imagine living anyplace else. I live with my husband near downtown Prescott, own two vacation rental homes as well as several other full time rentals. I have been a Realtor since 2002 and especially love to specialize in selling historic homes in the downtown area.

It was a perfect getaway for two (or three).

  • 5 of 5

It was a great location and an easy walk to Downtown shops and eateries. The cottage was decorated to the tee which could have been used in a photo layout on how to decorate your cottage. Like a Better Homes and Garden cottage. It had a very homey feeling like home away from home. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone that is staying in the Prescott area.

Great Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This small downtown cottage was great. Close and convenient. It is equipped with everything including a washer and dryer. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens. One bedroom and one bath with a small bonus room. Nice television. Full size stove and refrigerator. We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo.

Charming little cottage with perfect location to Whiskey Row and shopping

  • 3 of 5

Lovely cottage. Owner was very quick to respond when I let her know there was no bathroom tissue. Found a package on the front porch the next morning.

Besides the special features of an old house (slope in the floor(s)) and the lack of bathroom tissue, the house was lovely and well equipped for our stay. VERY comfortable bed and soft sheets!

On another note, I find it unsanitary to leave used soaps, shampoos, lotions for guests so those were left untouched by us. I was discouraged by the fact that my husband had to clean the bathtub before I used it, as it had grime hiding behind the shower curtains.

Would I visit that location again? Probably not, but don't let my opinion stop anyone from giving it a go.

Owner's Response: Dear Athena, I was sorry to see my first 3 star rating, but I think we got off on the wrong foot with the lack of spare toilet paper. As I mentioned, I had come by to shovel the snow before your arrival and had extra tp in the car that I intended to leave and I just simply forgot. Just wanted to clarify for future guests that I did provide packaged bar soap - there were just a few small hotel size bottles left behind that I left in case someone forgot to bring their shampoo/conditioner. As for the grime behind the shower curtain, I can't imagine how that happened, as I always scrub the tub down with bleach cleaner. In any event, I am sorry that your stay was less than perfect, which is always my aim. Karen

Cozy and covenient!

  • 5 of 5

One block off Gurley and just three from the Courthouse Square, the location is excellent. Just the right size for two, the house was clean and well-equipped, heat worked great, and we felt safe. Comfortable, not over-decorated, and quiet. Visited Prescott for the Christmas Parade and tree-lighting, thoroughly enjoyed the vacation!

Amazing Stay..

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week in Prescott. The house was beautiful. Everything we needed was there & it was so comfortable. The bed was amazing. Never slept better. Can't wait to come back. The only thing missing was the barbecue grill. Love to sit out & grill. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.

Location

From the Owner

Cute and cozy 100+ year old cottage with front porch & porch swing. Fantastic location, just 2 blocks from downtown, but on a quiet, lightly traveled street. Very clean and nicely decorated.

Activity and Interests

Prescott is surrounded by National Forest with several great lakes, and many parks and hiking trails. It is a historic town with lots of old west history - old bars and restaurants, Victorian Homes and charm galore. Many fun events happen throughout the year, including arts and crafts fairs, the world's oldest rodeo (4th of July week), Christmas celebrations, and much more. We are also a short drive (about 2 hours) to the Grand Canyon, 1 1/2 hours to Sedona, 45 minutes to Jerome.
