Beautiful property, fantastic views and something for everyone
Three generations of family had the pleasure of staying at Casa Blanco. It is a great home with stunning views and amenities for all of us to enjoy.
It's located just a short distance from Ensenada, as well as local restaurants, breweries and wineries.
Joaquin was a gracious and responsive host. We are all thankful to have had the opportunity to stay at this lovely home.
Beautiful house! Everything was well maintained m. In a safe and secure location. Amazing ocean view. Joaquin was great and attentive.
We had a lot of fun staying here. It was close to everything that Ensenada has to offer! Joaquin was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this home and also come back again!
Great stay in large and well-equiped home.
4 adults and 4 kids stayed for a week. Home was great. Enough space for kids to run around and various activites: pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, pool (cold in winter, but kids did not mind). Short drive to anything you would want to see in the area. Great outdoor grilling and eating area.
Incredible house with an amazing view
The house and property were great. The view was amazing. Would definitely stay there again.
We have been disappointed many times in the past with other vacation rental properties having overrated reviews and doctored pictures. To my amazement, advertised pictures do not do this house true justice as it is GORGEOUS, both, inside and out with intricate, yet beautiful, architectural features. An interior designer would appreciate the taste in decor and special attention to detail throughout the house. In regard to safety, I felt very safe in this secluded, upscale, and gated community that is just off the main highway with an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean. Nonetheless, it is only 20 minutes away from Ensenada tourist center that offers an amazing nightlife for the young ones.
Just shy of being a perfect experience, with the exception of the bedroom that has the pool table, this house does not seem to be equipped with central A/C. The heat experienced in mid-July was a bit uncomfortable, but by no means unbearable. Nonetheless, for us spoiled creatures, A/C has become a necessity rather than an optional luxury. Otherwise, everything else in this house was in good working order.
Overall, from a scale of 0 to 10, I would rate this mini-mansion as a 9.5.
Sport Fishing :
Sport fishing is big business here. There are a lot of places near the dock to hire a boat and though prices may be negotiable . . . we will give you one example so that you will have an idea of what the going rate is. Boats Juanito has 40' day boats (up to 8 people) available for $750 USD. Expect prices to vary according to the size of the boat, the amount of time you will be out on the water, what you are fishing for (where they need to go), and how many people you have in your fishing party.
Hussongs Cantina in the tourist zone. It is Baja's oldest bar still in use, established in 1892 by a German, Johan Hussong, Some say that Ensenada was built around this bar, it was first used as a stage coach stop and is now a historic landmark. Whether during the day or at night, you'll get a feeling of Old Mexico. Famous for it's original margaritas that were said to be invented.
This area of Mexico has been called "the new Napa Valley" because of its untapped potential as a great wine region. The Mission Santo Tomas de Aquino was the first winery in Baja in 1791, it is located about thirty miles south of Ensenada. Most of the wineries themselves are about a 30-40 minute drive from Ensenada, in the Valle de Guadalupe.
