Property was everything we expected and more. It has a great view and easy access to the lake.

This house is a perfect choice for anyone looking for a lake house on lake otsego. It has great views of the lake and the location is only a few miles from main street Cooperstown. Peter was also great with any questions I had and got back to me very quickly.

Wonderful house on the water!

  • 5 of 5

This house was absolutely perfect for our stay during Labor Day Weekend. The house was overlooking the beautiful, clear blue lake. So nice for the owner to have the kayaks and canoe for our use as well. It made the trip that much more enjoyable! He even reached out with local events going on during the time of our stay. He was super helpful.

We were a few miles from the center of town but far enough away to experience the quiet and relaxation of the lake.

House was cozy and clean! It had everything we needed throughout the stay. Living room area was big and comfortable for a good movie night. Bring DVDs if you have them!

Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing place to enjoy the water and Cooperstown!

Great stay for our week of baseball in Cooperstown!!

  • 5 of 5

The owner, Peter, was very helpful. He answered all of our questions within hours, sometimes minutes of our inquiries. The house has amazing views and is a very comfortable living space. Kitchen has everything you need and we only ate out once our entire time there. Plenty of hot water to go around which was nice for our big group. Our son fished every day and the canoe and kayaks were so nice to have. What an amazing lake!! This house is beautifully decorated - the artwork and furniture are gorgeous. It was immaculately clean when we checked in. The deck off the dining area was great to sit on early mornings or and of day. Very peaceful!

We went to Cooperstown Dreams Park every day we were there and it was less than a 20 minute drive there. Only about 10 minutes from the Hall of Fame and down town shopping area. Very conveniently located.

Initially, the property was hard to find because there is no mailbox or house number along the road. Once we knew were it was we didn't have any problems. We did notice a slight smell to the water but we assumed it was because of water shed and being on the lake. The staircase is older and slightly steep. We didn't have any problems at all but something to consider if you are elderly or have trouble with stairs.

We would definitely rent this house again or recommend it to anyone coming to the area. I would absolutely rent something from this owner as he was so great to interact with.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. The water source for homes is well water from the local water shed and it does sometimes have a slight odor, although completely safe to drink.

Spacious, comfortable house in Cooperstown, on Ostego Lake, near Dreams Park fields

  • 5 of 5

We were in Cooperstown for the Dreams park Tournament and decided to rent a house instead of booking a hotel room. In hindsight, we are so grateful we did and this property was perfect for us! We were able to make meals before, during and after baseball games, and we were happy to come back after a long day at the ballpark to the comfortable and open spacious outlay of a house (instead of a small, crowded hotel room). Overall, the house was much larger than expected (!!) - with a good sized kitchen, a dining area overlooking the lake, a dinning room (that we never used) and 3 large family/sitting rooms for 'hanging out. The were 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds, 1 with 2 twin beds) that were not so big, but were fine as we only spent time there sleeping. The house is across the street from the lake, but the house has a small private dock that we used for fishing and swimming. We also used the provided 2 kayaks and canoe. Two full bathrooms and laundry were available. Our only 'complaint' is that we wish the water pressure in the showers had been a little bit stronger. Overall, the house as kept neat and clean, and we enjoyed the use of a BBQ for dinner one night.

The house is conveniently located about 10 minutes to downtown Cooperstown, and ~15 minutes to Dreams Park (I do not know the distance to the All Stars park).

The owner was very easy to deal with - he answer all questions before our visit.

I highly recommend renting a house if you are in town for a Cooperstown tournament - and I highly recommend THIS house.

Location

From the Owner

We use this property ourselves in the off-season and rent it to cover costs. Any income above cost we invest back in the property. This is not a cash making business like all the rentals in the Cooperstown area and we price our rental at break-even.
