On Quiet Beach, 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath, in Gorgeous Gated Community
About Sally Brett
I am a retired engineer and community volunteer living in Santa Clara, California. I was born in Hawaii 54 years ago when my father was in the army, based on Mauna Kea on the Big Island. When I was growing up, my family would migrate to Hawaii each August for our annual vacation. My sister and I now own this townhouse. We put considerable effort and pride into maintaining, updating, and decorating our Hawaiian paradise which we view as a priceless treasure.
Sally Brett purchased this Townhome in 1974
Why Sally Brett chose Kahaluu Bay
This property has been passed down through the generations. My father and mother purchased it because they loved this unique location and viewed it as the finest in the Hawaiian Islands. My father was an avid snorkeler and scuba diver. We spent our family vacations when I was growing up exploring the ocean reefs in front of KKSRC #5.
What makes this Townhome unique
Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club, Townhouse #5 is located right on a gorgeous quiet beach. It is one of the very few properties on the entire island which have oceanfront privacy and solitude, Also, the ocean reefs directly in front off KKSRC #5 offer some of the most pristine, clear snorkeling and scuba diving in the world. Also, when the surf is up (normally in the winter), renters can use the surf board in the townhouse to surf the waves! Honu, Hawaiian Sea Turtles, can be seen almost every day on the beach. Locals call this location a 'Honu Haven' because it is one of the few resting places for this gorgeous turtle. During low tide Hawaiian petroglyphs can be seen on the rocks which form tide pools. This is a wonderful location to begin learning about ancient Hawaiian history!

Perfect for us!
The townhouse was perfect for us 3! It is spacious yet not too big. I loved the direct accès to the little beach where we watched the sunset. We did some snorkeling there as well.
The house has everything you need, it is very well furnished.
Perfect Place in a Perfect Location
This place was amazing. We made sure to be done with our activities during the day because spending the evenings on the beach here were the best part. I loved sleeping while listening to the waves every night. It was hard to leave. I also appreciated the list of suggested activities the owner left.
Our stay at KRSC was even better than we expected. Townhouse #5 was clean and well appointed. The turtle motifs made me smile each day. But then to have the living honu greet us each morning, was magical. The master bedroom window and view made each morning a true renewal. I was able to walk up the hill for groceries and exercise. We made good use of the pool and KSRC amenities. Thank you for maintaining such a treasure.
Loved the location appreciated the information sent by owner

Lovely House in stunning location right by the seashore but we struggled a bit in the heat
We really enjoyed staying here. The house was well equipped and right next to the seashore, where we could wander over and watch the green turtles and tropical fish in the sea. The only thing we found difficult at times was coping with the heat and humidity without air conditioning. But maybe since we come from the UK, we are just not used to it and needed more time to acclimatise. There were plenty of powerful fans however which helped a lot to keep the house cool at night. The property is close to a retail park which has restaurants and a very good supermarket, called KTA. Take our advice and go here, rather than Walmart further away in Kona, which didn’t have as good a selection of food.
Overall, a great place to stay, and our host Sally was very responsive and helpful.
We loved to stay so close to the ocean. The condo was very nice, very comfortable we nice details.
