2nd time staying and want to make it a 3rd!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here a second time in Apri or May, I can't remember since it's been a while but loved the cabin every bit as much as the first time! Jack was super nice again and we can't wait to go up a third time. It's quiet, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing trip. It's really hard to pack up and leave this place!

Beautiful

Beautiful log cabin. Beds were very comfortable and views breathtaking. Only issue was with the hot tub but Jack had it fixed right away. Highly recommend this cabin. We plan to return in the winter sometime.

Quiet Cabin in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We rented the cabin for 9 nights so my girls could go to soccer camp at NAU. It was a quick drive into town, so the location was perfect. The cabin was very well equipped for cooking and grilling our meals. There were a lot of trails that were easy for us to take with our 5 year old on during the day. It was clean (but there are a lot of indoor plants that sort of took over the openness). The deck was wonderful. We did have a bat fly into the cabin, but the firefighters across the street were fantastic and quickly removed him. We had a great time.

Log Cabin

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed the property very much and had plenty of space for our family. The authentic construction and lived in feel was appealing to us and our dog, Mia. She especially enjoyed the view from the windows and all of the rules she was able to break in an unfamiliar setting.

We did notice a few minor glitches with the spa, coffee maker and lower bath GFI, but overall, the property is well maintained and very comfortable. We do not tend to dwell on minor imperfections, so we Loved the Place.

Great Location, Amazing Kitchen AND Dog Friendly!

  • 5 of 5

I spent 4 nights here along with my wife and our boxer-lab mix Taz and we had a great time. The location is ideal if you want to go south to Sedona and north to Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon as the neighborhood (Kachina Village) is right off of I-17. We definitely preferred the area around the cabin to the hippy-ish vibe of Sedona! The cabin itself is everything as advertised - an absolutely huge kitchen with tons of counter space and nice appliances, a large deck off the living room (which Taz loved) with a grill, and a hot tub outside and down some steps. There's a working fireplace, which was nice considering it even snowed one morning (in mid May!). Both upstairs and downstairs was extremely spacious, more than the pictures indicated. We only used the large upstairs bedroom and bath, but the king size bed was extremely comfortable and I loved the pillows. The cabin seemed to be extremely dog friendly, with hardwood floors downstairs and nice soft carpet upstairs, not to mention acres to roam outside. I'm trying to think of an honest criticism of the place and I'm coming up blank.

There are trails right there in the neighborhood (Pumphouse Wash starts right down the road, and the Highland Trail which goes up to the county park starts at the Kachina Village Wetlands area about 1/2 mile away). Sedona is only ~35 minutes away, either on I-17 or AZ 89A through Oak Creek Canyon (17 was a bit easier b/c they're doing construction on 89A this summer). Downtown Flagstaff is only about 10 minutes north.

Northern Arizona is absolutely beautiful with the pine forests and reminds us of where we used to live in Bend, Oregon. Again, the location is great for accessing a variety of different outdoorsy destinations. I'd love to come back!
