This was just what we needed

  • 5 of 5

This home was a beautiful get away and was exceptionally accomodating for me, my husband and three teenagers. The deck and beach chairs were our favorite spot while we drip dried from the "after beach" waterhose shower downstairs. Inside, there is plenty of room to move around, lots of sleeping space and the beds were all comfy, even the bunk beds. (the teens agreed) There's also a variety of movies and games to keep them entertained in the down times. In the kitchen and bathrooms, lots of linens, toilet paper, paper towels, dishes and cookware, utensils. There's even handsoap and dish soap. I was pleasantly surprised to see the cabinets had the basic staples like salt, pepper, miscellaneous spices, sugar, cooking oil and spray and even a few dry goods. The refrigerator had slightly used condiments like mustard, mayo, ketchup, butter, bbq sauce, even Aloe Vera gel for the sunburns they knew we'd get! Whether it was supplied by the house or just previous tenants, THANK YOU ♡ In turn, I left a few misc items that can be used again. We stayed on the island all 4 days and will be back as often as we can. The ferry ride over was free and relaxing. Bring your groceries or you can purchase everything you need and MORE at the Big Store down the road. Pack your personal hygiene items, sunscreen and bathing suit, that's all you need! The beach is about a block away so bring beach toys and enjoy the R&R.

Mr. And Mrs. Graves, thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beach home.

Sincerely,

Terrence and Regina Ervin

Nice Stay in a Nice House

  • 4 of 5

We just completed a little over two weeks in the Peace and Tranquility house and it indeed was peaceful and tranquil for the most part. A little loud and crowded the weekend prior to the 4th but that is to be expected. There was a very nice fireworks display on the beach which was perfectly viewed from our front deck. This house has it all with one minor exception....the decor is pretty much non existent. Don't get me wrong, the house is nice and well equipped and maintained inside and out but there are no drapes and few pictures or other decor. However, the kitchen is newly upgraded with granite and good appliances. There are scads of utensils, and dishes. The beds and couches are comfortable with ample linens. The front deck is nice with a covered and shaded portion. The grill downstairs is huge and works well. The location is great with a short walk or cart ride to the beach and the neighborhood is generally quiet and friendly. This was our second stay with Kathy and Todd, who are very responsive and helpful, and we will be going back in the fall.

weather was bad but the house made up for that

  • 5 of 5

we had an unusually bad weather week for early june in texas-it was actually flooding in areas around us. this neighborhood has built up roads that did not flood. the house pretty much has everything you could think of - the kitchen is amazing and the views are really nice. owner really easy to work with-somehow it showed we were bringing our dogs so charged us fee on credit card owner mailed refund before we even left home. tip even if the weather is bad it still cleared up enough that we were able to enjoy the beach everyday and the beach is not busy at all the most we saw were maybe 20 on the beach on the sunniest day we were there.
