Awesome getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This was our third year at the ice house. We love the setting, lake access, and nearby attractions!

Good location for visiting Saugatuck and South Haven

  • 3 of 5

Inside is nicely decorated and equipped, but feels a little grimy -- ran into spiderwebs, etc. Outside is not well maintained. Pullman is a small, run-down town -- but a good location to visit Saugatuck and South Haven. Overall, we enjoyed our time, but wouldn't rent this location again.

Peaceful Setting

  • 5 of 5

Charming, lakeside cabin with all the amenities of home. I particularly enjoyed the rustic decor, especially the stenciled sayings, and the beautiful photographs. The freshly cut flowers and home-made cookies were very much appreciated. My daughter, who just turned 21 and was taking a mini break from Western Michigan, made full use of the canoe. The icehouse is a great place to unwind and get back to nature. You can also enjoy the nearby wineries and organic farms if you get bored, but you won't. A pilated woodpecker posed for us as did a family of swans. Fishing off the pier was fun even if we didn't catch anything. Gracious and accommodating hosts.

Girls weekend

  • 4 of 5

We had a very nice stay, place was clean, kitchen was well stocked and there were extra blankets for us as it was cold the weekend we stayed. We did not use the water "toys" as it was too cold. We used the grill, it had gas and worked well! The deck was dated. The homemade cookies were a nice touch! Overall nice place and I would recommend it to friends.

Clean, quaint, wonderful cottage experience.

  • 5 of 5

I was very impressed with this little cottage. It was clean, quiet, beautiful, on a quaint little lake. I had read some reviews concerning the shower cleanliness and I will tell you, the bathroom was spotless. If you are looking for a cozy get away that is a friendly space for families, I would recommend this property. The owner is kind, accommodating, and leaves you fresh baked delicious cookies! I feel like they thought of everything we would need or have questions on and took care of those details.
