Pirates Crossing, # A-7....2d floor with private staircase and balcony overlooking Lake Padre....less than 2 blocks from the Gulf Beach. Actual physical address is 15209 Leeward Drive 78418. Please pull up any map site to checkout the actual location and surrounding area! Fully furnished 650+square feet, 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condo with lots of amenities and upgrades. Unit has its own WIFI service. Sleeping accommodations include a king size bed and futon sleeper. The SCHLITTERBAHN WATERPARK is two miles from the condo. The actual main occupier must be at least 21 years or older to rent the unit. Have a nice day...and a great vacation!! (Harvey's minimal damage to the condo repaired but boat docks/pavilion area awaiting replacement.)

Great condo and great price!

Condo was perfect for our two day stay at Corpus Christi. Pretty view off of the back balcony of Lake Padre. Kitchen had all the appliances and utensils we needed to make our meals. It was nice having the washer and dryer to get our clothes clean before heading to our next destination. Not too far of a walk to the beach. Our kids loved the outdoor pool on site. It was a very quiet area and wasn't too far too drive to get anything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Bazarre accusations from neighbor NOT the best for small children

I've been debating on how to review our stay. Firstly, this was our family's first trip to the beach as my son is 20 months old and my husband is from Ohio. We looked forward to a hassle free relaxing 3 days. I'll break down our review:

Pros: Affordable; location about a block to Whitecap Beach entrance which is nice; Big comfy bed; appliances you need; Joanna is a nice person

Cons: dark inside: balcony NOT FOR KIDS (my 20 month old son could fit through the railings so we couldn't use it-- was more anxiety building than relaxing); Felt overly monitored by owner.

Bad Taste Scenario: Had unexpected visit upon arrival by owner and then accused of having a dog via text while we were at the beach our first day- We don't own a dog! Was told we were only paid up until day 2 when we actually were paid until day 3 (I get it- mobile viewing makes it hard to read calendars) but the accusations of "I hear your dog barking you owe $50.00 cash for a cleaning deposit" did not sit well with us. WE DONT OWN A DOG! - I understand that the neighbor apparently accused us of having a barking dog, who we LATER found out belonged to the downstairs neighbors WHO incessantly did construction in his apartment for hours on Friday Morning while my son napped: Drilling/ cutting/ hammering/ sawing. It was horrible & ridiculous!!!! The construction guy peeps out of the back balcony to let his tiny little black dog out and there it is-- the culprit! While we as a family had a good time at the beach- It threw our entire vacation off and left a really bad taste in our mouth of renting here. I would have preferred less of what felt like parental monitoring. I have never rented a place where I have seen and/or spoken to the owner as much as I did this time and I'm in my mid 40's and rented many times on Oahu and Maui (where I moved from) where there are million dollar condo rentals. If you want affordable and bare basics, this is your place. We'll probably keep looking for another place to rent from in the future. Was a bizarre experience.

Owner's Response: I will keep my response to these overly "bizarre"/rude guests to a minimum and write their inaccurate comments off to "unfortunately you get "one" like this ever couple years". I gave them the benefit of the doubt regarding the positive rating I gave to them inspite of their lack of communication regarding any problems during their stay and leaving the unit filthy on departure. Regarding the balcony, the railings and slats were replaced at the beginning of the summer and meet City code. As to the reported dog by a condo owner to my wife, this did occur because the owner notified her as a favor, because unfortunately, the complex was declared a pet free area by the condo association which fine owners with pets on location with any notification. My wife did text these "guests" that pets were not allowed and should they have one, it needed to be removed and a 50 dollar pet cleaning fee would be required on departure that our cleaning team charges to clean our other units of ours allowing pets. These "guests" indicated they did not have a pet; my wife contacted the owner that reported the animal and apologized to her that he had been mistaken, and in turn my wife apologized to the "guests" for bothering them over this non-issue. The rest of this guest's prevarications will recive no comments from me and I will not snipe at her comment's content. Should you be a owner, please BEWARE of this potential guest. Should you be a potential guest, please read other posted comments relating to this vacation condo.
