About Cynthia Muller

The Polk family has owned this piece of paradise since 1910. Grandfather Polk began Viewpoint Beach Resort in 1911 with the construction of "Cottage # 1," still in use. Following generations have maintained and improved the properties over the years; Magician Lake is a large, pristine lake with a full range of watersports and activities.

Why Cynthia Muller chose Michigan

This property is located in a secluded area with a large yard for recreation and get-togethers. Plenty of parking.

What makes this house unique

Unique benefits of this property, and the two nearby rentals (Turtle Cove and Herons Nest) offer a quiet get-away where one can rest or entertain guests in a secluded space. The yard is large with an extended boat dock on Polk Channel. The channel provides access to Magician Lake at both ends of the mile-long waterway, which is scenic, serene, surrounded by forest and is accessible by boats of all kinds.

Parking on the grounds is ample. Growing up on this beautiful, untouched piece of Nature was an unforgettable experience. Visitors can ride bikes, walk in the woods, swim, float on the lake with a cooling beverage and listen to the night creatures "sing" at night.

Very Impressed

  • 5 of 5

I had a group of 14 guys stay and there was plenty of sleeping space. The property was clean upon arrival and required minimal supplies to bring from home. Lots of space outside for activities and games. Only one neighbor and noise was never a problem for either home. Convenient dock on site with enough space to being a second boat to dock. Wifi worked well and cable was great. Above all pricing was amazing. Cynthia was very easy to talk with and responded quickly and is very organized. My guys are already talking about wanting to come back. Thanks Cynthia.

Wonderful stay😁

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Frog Hollow 😁? the house was adequate for our family of 7 4 being adults. With the couches and double bunk beds we all had space. One bathroom was a bit challenging and we totally made it work. No washer and dryer promoted us to bring our own rope to makw a clothesline - good tip if you will be swimming. Place to hang towels and swimsuits. The grounds was lovely and we rented the pontoon for adventure on the Lake. Overall a wonderful adventure!!!

Rustic Two Story Cottage on Magician Lake of Sister's Lakes, MI

  • 4 of 5

Cynthia was very accommodating to our large group of 12, we'd love to stay with her here again in the future.

The area is wonderfully quiet and private. The house is rustic, has most of what you need for a quiet getaway with up to 10-12 people, comfortably. With four different sleeping areas, it wasn't a problem finding space for all 12 family members to sleep. Beds were clean and cozy, adults even shared the bunk beds. The house overall was adequately clean, including the bathroom and kitchen. Cynthia provides most necessities (including pots, pans, silverware & dishes) aside from paper goods & linens. Guest tip - bring a bathroom rug.

The screened-in porch was a nice touch for us when we experienced a stormy night, while the fire-pit was pre-stocked with wood for us to enjoy every other night (it was easy to order additional wood if needed). The creek that the house is on is great for fishing, we pulled up large mouth bass, blue gill, catfish, and other things. The water at both the creek and the Lake was warm, but a little murky with vegetation.

Owner recommendations: the WIFI really wasn't great, you may want to check on that. You also may want to invest in a more inviting guest swimming area, as the current lake beach access isn't as desirable as we had hoped. The pier there is small and covered in goose feces. The picnic tables could be cleaned once in a while to remove spider webs, etc. Also - perhaps drag/rake more regularly the swimming area to remove vegetation. The fix person floatie anchored in the water there was a nice bonus.
