About Rita Ammons
My husband and I were both born and raised in Yuma, Arizona. We have always loved Williams and have a summer home there where we can escape the desert heat. We are semi-retired and spend our time between Yuma and Williams. We feel very fortunate to be able to live in both places.
Rita Ammons purchased this House in 2009
Why Rita Ammons chose Williams
When looking for a rental, we fell in love with this home. Its vintage character and history sealed the deal for us. It is one of the original homes built in Williams and is in a great location. We hope everyone who visits will enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this House unique
Spacious rooms, vintage furnishings, great neighborhood, and only two very short blocks to Route 66.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
This had been my first experience with vacation rentals and I am pleasantly surprised. In. Good way.
Thank you for having everything so organized and clean. Also the location is excellent, few minutes from the downtown and about 1 hour drive from Grand Canyon. I would highly recommend it.
We visited primarily to see the Grand Canyon. Williams is the nearest town with all necessary amenities, so that’s where we wanted to be. We had no surprises or problems at all on our stay, the home was well stocked and we found that the reviews and descriptions on the property were accurate. That’s the short version. For the long details, read on....
The Century House is seriously just walking distance to what is like the Williams “Strip” along Route 66, and an hour to the Grand Canyon. The 1 hour drive is super easy and didn’t seem long at all, we are used to driving a lot on our trips anyway. Grand Canyon was great it it was wonderful to come “home” each day and feel so safe at the Century House. We enjoyed great dining in Williams and slept very well each night. The shower kept hot for all 5 of us each night, and checkout was super easy. We usually have a list of chores to do at rentals but all we had to do here was lock up and return the keys! Viewers should read the description and reviews on the house layout so they are not surprised. Yes, the house is unique with some interesting room access, all as described in the reviews and property description. If you can’t deal with that then don’t complain. We rented knowing all the limitations of the home, and we are glad we did. There’s something neat about staying in an old home, and I love that the owners are preserving this historical place. It will remind you of visiting your grandparent’s or even great-grandparents’ homes!
Very comfortable and clean house we spent a wonderful time there!!
We were happy to have you! Thank you for picking out vacation rental. We hope to see you again some day.
we love our stay in this vintage house
my kids and I enjoyed the stay thank you we would love to come back soon!!
Century House is perfectly located to Downtown Williams.
We stayed in Century House for four nights five days and had a wonderful experience. Rita was delightful and most accommodating. We had a great time going to Bearazona, playing golf at Elephant Rock golf course and riding our e-bikes in the Williams area. If your interested in eating out, we would highly recommended the Red Raven, Get Your Kicks On 66 and The South Rim Garage resturants.
We adore the Century House!
We just love staying at the Century House. This was our second time and probably not the last! Rita is a wonderful person to work with, everything goes smoothly. We enjoy the fact all the lakes are pretty close. The house is family friendly, mom can't walk and she was able to navigate in and around with her electric scooter. The grandkids always love the loft, it is so cute! With plenty of local places to eat and a grocery store, it is a nice place to unwind and maybe unplug just a bit ( there is Dish and Wi-Fi don't panic)! There is also a new upgraded grill (loved it Rita!). Enjoy, we did!
Thank you for the nice words. Come back to see us soon!
Join in the fun at Route 66 (2 short blocks away) and visit its many shops and eateries. It is a short walk to the Grand Canyon Railway and you can visit the Visitors Center along the way . The Zipline is nearby and don't forget to visit Bearizona! It's an easy beautiful drive to the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff or Sedona. There are several nearby lakes and lots of wildlife for you to enjoy; elk, deer, antelope, turkeys, coyotes, and many other animals. Hiking trails are bundant and the fishing is great. Williams is a great area for family fun. Come have fun with us.
