About Rita Ammons

My husband and I were both born and raised in Yuma, Arizona. We have always loved Williams and have a summer home there where we can escape the desert heat. We are semi-retired and spend our time between Yuma and Williams. We feel very fortunate to be able to live in both places.

Rita Ammons purchased this house in 2009

Why Rita Ammons chose Grand Canyon

When looking for a rental, we fell in love with this home. Its vintage character and history sealed the deal for us. It is one of the original homes built in Williams and is in a great location. We hope everyone who visits will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this house unique

Spacious rooms, vintage furnishings, great neighborhood, and only two very short blocks to Route 66.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!

  • 5 of 5

Since day one it felt like home. The kids loved staying at the Century House and did not want to leave. The house was clean, had all the necessities and there were no issues at all. We will definitely be back again!

Great location for lots of activities!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location of this house. Close to Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona, etc. Only a couple of blocks from historic Route 66 with restaurants and shopping. House had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend.

Quirky Cottage

  • 3 of 5

This was a lovely little house, close to town. Bathroom has been updated and is very nice, unfortunately it is only accessible through the master bedroom so not convenient if you are with people other than close family members. Also there is no door on the master bedroom from the living area which made it difficult when dressing. The third bedroom (which is very cute and we wanted to use) is accessible only from the master bedroom and was too hot to be useable. It's a nice little house but the daily rate didn't reflect the usability of the rooms.
