Just like everyone else said , be home before dark, other than the drive to the cabin everything was perfect
Million Dollar Views
Absolutely incredible views and such a private location. The house is nothing fancy, it could definitely use some updating and a deep cleaning, but the views make up for that. The kitchen is fully equipped minus a dishwasher, which is not a big deal. I would recommend arriving before dark. The road to the house is not paved and steep, but that is part of what makes the house so awesome. Please make sure the owner has taken care of the "beetle invasion" which leaves dust and dirt all over the sofa and floor. Otherwise we had an incredible time and enjoyed the outdoors and the view immensely.
Unfortunately the beetle problem happened just prior to Jennifer's arrival and I was unable to get the exterminator prior to her arrival. They were in a small section near the sliding glass doors. I spoke to Jennifer about this situation and she seemed OK with it. I currently updated the treatment to every other month instead of twice a year. This has been the only time that insects have had an effect on a tenant since I have owned the house. Not sure what is meant by updates, the house is completely furnished and equipped. Since I am children and dog friendly you are not going to find an up scale designer home, but you will experience a very comfortable and affordable vacation.
Wonderful for pet owners and young children.
The cabin had everything we needed. Very private and great views. It was great for our dogs. The fenced in area was like a dog park. They could run and play. Our 2 grandkids looked the pool table and Tv.
Thanks! and glad you enjoyed your stay. My housekeeper, maintenance team
and myself due our best to insure you have a pleasant and comfortable stay
at our mountain home.
Privacy and stunning views
Nothing fancy but everything we needed. If you require a dishwasher, it’s not for you but that’s not a big deal to us. What was a big deal, was the space dedicated to dogs and not being concerned that they were going to damage the floor. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the fire pit area too. A bit tricky to get to but that’s part of the experience. A good value. Hope to return.
Awesome Cabin Get Away!!
Our small family hardly ever has any get togethers as we are geographically disperse. We loved relaxing and spending family time together for Thanksgiving at this cabin. It was perfect! The dogs enjoyed the wrap around deck and the fenced in area was perfect! We would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cabin!!
Overall, this is a great place to rent. House has everything you need, all the privacy you can stand, and view is top-notch. My suggestion for renters: try to arrive at the home in the daytime. I couldn’t imagine driving up that road at night, it’s steep and curvy. We actually tried to finish our activities before night fall so we wouldn’t have to drive up that road in the dark. My suggestions for owner: 1) add steps down to dog area. It’s steep and slippery when wet. 2) add shower hoses to both showers. 3) it was wonderful to have a garage, but it was not big enough for my SUV. Maybe a small car would fit. Overall, it was a nice few days away from everything.
The view is great, even if I do say so myself, no housing in the way. Not to sure what is meant by steps to the dog area, I am guessing the small slope to the grassy area, maybe mulch along the path could solve the problem.
I will look into the shower hose, never has come up before, but seems to be a good idea. Not much I can do about the garage, it was originally build before SUV's were the rage.
I am going to be there next week, so I will look into your suggestions.
