Perfect Family Reunion House
Enough beds and bedding for a small army, usable washer and dryer, so we didn't over pack and beautiful lake. We would have liked access to a fishing boat, difficult for the older ones in kayaks. A letter or informational sheet about general house, area, restaurants, and activities would have been useful.
Lots of room, and plenty of space for sleeping. We had 8 adults and 4 kids and felt comfortable. Nice cottage and a great place for a vacation!
We really enjoyed our vacation on Algonquin Lake! This was a great place for our family of 11!
This was a wonderful vacation spot for our family! Everyone had a great time fishing, kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding, floating on giant mats, making s'mores! There was plenty of space in the house and the private beach was very nice! The view of the lake from the deck was very scenic! A great time was had by all!
Charming house on a quiet, beautiful lake.
My 5 friends and I really loved our stay here. The house itself is a lot roomier than the pictures show. Plenty of room to spread out and get settled in for a long weekend. Georgeous view of the lake from both the living room and the deck just outside. Very clean. Very well-prepared for a group to stay comfortably for a long weekend.
About 60 stairs down to their private strip of beach on the beautiful Algonquin Lake where they have kayaks and a paddle boat that were used frequently over the weekend. Nice sized lawn next to the house which was used for frisbee and corn hole during the day and a bonfire at night.
About a 40 minute drive each to Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids makes for plenty of options for day trips. 5 minute drive to the town of Hastings. A frisbee golf course about a 15-minute walk away was a nice surprise too.
Would definitely come back here next fall. I think we got spoiled with 80 degree weather in October that was only matched the picture-perfect Michigan backdrop.
Can't wait to go back!
We spent a 3 day weekend in June at this house and loved every minute of it! We fished, floated in rafts, played on the beach, and enjoyed the beautiful view! There was plenty of room for our 4 families, and the house was well equipped. Great house for great family time! It was everything we hoped for! The owner was easy to work with and communicated really well with us! We can't wait to go back next year!
