About Patty & Dan Cavanaugh
Dan grew up in a military family so has lived in cities across the US & some time in Germany before settling in Wichita, Kansas where he met Patty. Now our primary residence is located in the beautiful hills of NW Arkansas.
Patty & Dan Cavanaugh purchased this House in 2011
Why Patty & Dan Cavanaugh chose Arizona City
Patty's parents were snowbirds in the area for many years so when they decided to buy a home in Arizona City and the house next door came up for sale we jumped at the chance to have a vacation home close by that would be a good investment.
What makes this House unique
Our roomy & comfortable home is big enough but not too big. Arizona City is a very small community with easy access to both Phoenix and Tucson. We love the mountains in the area and the bright starry nights from our front porch.

Several things missing
The house was lovely, and surrounding area quiet and peaceful.
The kitchen was well-stocked with anything needed to cook.
Cleaning supplies were available (except the hand soap dispenser in the master bathroom ran out while we were there.)
The light fixtures in the kitchen, living room, and master bathroom only had half of the bulbs working. This made for a dark and dreary feeling, and made it hard to see what we were working on.
The tv picture was awful, so watching tv wasn't very enjoyable.
The most frustrating part of our stay was the internet. Upon our arrival, we were able to log into the AmadoGuest account, as indicated to us on the note on the kitchen counter. It soon logged out, and we couldn't get back in. After trying a few times, that account wasn't even listed as an option.
We called the folks next door, who had given us the key, and he came over to check it out. He couldn't find it on his device, either. He said, "Well, it was working last week." He didn't know what to do, and didn't offer to try to get us some help. He offered to let us use one of his accounts, which he said would probably reach from next door.
The other two accounts were occasionally available, but the power wasn't good, and it didn't always stay on. My phone data worked faster that those accounts. My computer never was able to connect and have internet service.
In these days, not having internet access is a real problem. The last day, my husband and I both received notices that the bill had not been paid, and that's why there was no service. :(
I'm sorry the stay didn't quite met expectations. Additional hand soap and light bulbs are readily available in the home but unfortunately those are things that are not always caught when quickly preparing for the next guests. The internet is DSL which normally works fine, it can be slower if usage is high. DSL tech support was required after this guest departed due to the accounts/passwords being altered somehow. The internet service is paid for the each month via an automatic credit card payment so I am 100% certain that was not the issue. Thank you for the feedback.
Great home, very comfortable and the property manager George was fantastic! The perfect place for us to stay with family in the Phoenix area and a son playing baseball in Tucson !! Thank you 😊
We enjoyed the property.
We had a great time. The house was clean and well maintained. The beds were great with the adjustable controls. All the supplies for a home away were plentiful. We were impressed with the amenities that were provided. The only thing lacking was a pool or the access to a nearby pool. The community was safe and neighbors were friendly . Thanks for allowing us to enjoy the beauty of AZ with a home atmosphere.
Excellent Stay, Excellent home, Excellent people to work with.
Sure beats staying at a hotel or motel. Our stay reminded me of a song I used to sing when I was a little boy, " . . .me and my teddy bear, have not worries, have no fears, me and my teddy bear just play and play all day. Everything we wanted or needed in a home away from home was provided by the homeowner and the house we stayed in. The house was neat, clean and everything one could ask for in a vacation home. We did not have to worry about the housing, so we could spend all of our time enjoying our vacation. The homeowner and the Dad that lives next door made the vacation SPECIAL! Have no complaints, just a very much appreciated THANK YOU!
We are always glad to hear that our guests enjoyed their time in our home. We are fortunate that our vacation home is next door to the home of Patty's parents who are more than eager to assist with any questions or unexpected issues that might come up.
Don't pass this one up.
This house was the best. The owners father lives next door and was very helpful. The house was very comfortable, clean and roomy. Beds were perfect. The overall area is very quiet and a nearby restaurant "Chris's" was excellent. Very close to Casa Grande and two major resorts.
We are so glad our guests enjoyed their stay and hope to have them back. Arizona City is a nice quiet area. Chris's Dinner is a great local restaurant nearby with a large menu and daily specials. Another nearby restaurant you shouldn't miss is Flashbacks which service the best Fried Chicken and Burgers. Both restaurants are a treat when visiting the area.
great, comfortable home!
My family had a great stay here. The owners are friendly and personable and easy to contact. The house was fantastic and in great shape with all modern and up to date amenities. Very clean and comfortable. The location was great. Not far from the Casa Grande ruins and about midway between Phoenix abd Tuscon. We are definitely planning on staying here again.
We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again.
Just a short distance from 18 hole Arizona City Golf Course plus others to choice from throughout the area.
Several great local restaurants included Flashback Diner, Duffers Sports Bar & Grill, and Chris's Diner with many, many, more choices within less than 10 miles
