Our cottage has a backyard right on Cayuga Lake waterfront. It is located at 4451 Allens Point Road in Union Spring NY, very close to Auburn's Finger Lake Mall & Bass Pro Shop. Nice Restaurants such as Aurora Inn Restaurant are within a few minutes driving. Nearby facilities include Wells College & Cornell University.
Our Cayuga lake has many wineries , enjoy bird watching on Montezuma National Wild life Refuge.
My wife and I and our two 20-something kids don't get away together much anymore, but we stayed here for 4 nights a few weeks ago on our first ever visit to the Finger Lakes. It was fantastic! The house is in a great location on the east side of Cayuga Lake, so the sunsets (as advertised) were gorgeous. Impressive views of the lake from most rooms in the house. It also is close to lots of fun activities and we took advantage of many of them --- including wine tasting, restaurants, State Park trails, and the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge. The house was plenty large for us plus my sister and brother in law who stayed with us a couple nights. Right on the lake, we took advantage of the kayaks supplied (though we did not use the canoe). The water was warm and you can walk in it to out beyond the dock. We were pleasantly surprised to find the house had Wifi (and not just internet). We enjoyed wine and some meals on the deck of the house, where we also enjoyed watching shooting stars at night. Overall, a really fun and relaxing vacation. Thanks, Annie!
Beautiful place to stay! Well kept cottage, very quiet. will definitely return!
This is a great property for families. The lake is very close and the water is amazing. It seemed every time our 14-year old cast his line, he caught a fish right off the end of the dock pictured here. The house was clean and humble. We had a very relaxing week.
Close to boat launch with a boat dock on the property on one of the best fishing lakes in New York. Home is being updated but it was very livable and comfortable.
We had a great time at this lake house. It's in a secluded protected cove. We caught a huge Bass, numerous Northern Pike, Bullhead and a bunch of Perch. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. It also almost level to the lake so no big hills to walk down. When you sit on the back deck, you sit and enjoy peace and quiet as you watch boats across the bay coming and going to the nearby marina and park with a boat launch. You'll also enjoy what I believe to be some of the best sunsets there is to enjoy at around 8:30PM every night. We usually ate at the lake house but when we went out we had excellent meals at the Aurora Inn and its a bit of drive but worth it - the NYS Wine and Culinary Center. Close by are the outlets in Waterloo for shopping, many, many great wineries and the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge plus if you want to watch - boats coming and going through the locks to the Erie Canal.
The cottage is very clean and neat. The area is nice, safety, quite. The lake water is so clear and have a plenty of fish because I love fishing. We have a good time at last 4th of July.
