About Joanne Armstrong
I am Joanne Armstrong. I am 60, married 28 years. have 2 kids. My passion is houses. I love to buy, build, decorate, renovate, update and rent beach houses. I own 3 and we are building a new one now! I love going on Pinterest and looking at beach houses and how they are decorated and get ideas. I live in Matunuck, RI. We have 2 cats. When this house was for sale, we were not really looking(well, I was. husband was not) for another house. I walked up to the 2nd floor and right away said "I am buying this house" I feel in love with the house that fast. You will too. I recently retired from Amtrak after 34 years.
Joanne Armstrong purchased this House in 2012
Why Joanne Armstrong chose Eastward Look

My extended family and I rented this home for my daughter's graduation during Labor Day weekend and it was absolutely fantastic! It was within walking distance from the beach and a basketball court within the neighborhood. Everyone of all ages truly enjoyed their time. Joanne was absolutely amazing! She made the process very pleasant. I definitely recommend this property and will stay again when I am in the area! Absolutely fabulous!
My family of 3 generations ages 11-77 spent a wonderful week at this beautiful beach house. The house was exactly as described on the internet. Having three levels for bedrooms gave everyone a chance to spread out. The furniture in the house was excellent and appeared to be new, and the kitchen had everything we needed. When we arrived the house was sparkling clean and a bottle of wine waiting for us!! A great way to begin a vacation.
Working with the owner was very positive and she was very willing to answer all of my questions. If you are looking for a beautiful rental in this area I say go for it, you will not be disappointed!!!!
Great for extended/multiple family reunions
We had a wonderful week. Our only regret was that we didn't book two!
This is a great vacation home. Although it's a big, comfortable place with plenty of room to spread out, the decorating makes it feel warm and cozy. We especially enjoyed gathering in the sunrooms. After a day at the beach, the grown-ups had drinks in the "brown sunroom" while the kids played games in the "white sunroom". The yard is big enough for whiffle ball games and the guys really enjoyed the pool table after dinner. Although there are several televisions, I don't think anyone turned one on until the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics the last night we were there. Your home is a great place to reconnect with family and friends.
Fun with the Cousins
This is a great house for an extended family at the beach; it met and surpassed our expectations. Our children had so much fun vacationing with their cousins. The house itself is spacious, clean, clutter free, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is large and well stocked - we had no problems cooking for and serving 20 people. The gas grill worked great. The air conditioning is wonderful - especially in the salty beach air. If your love sleeping in an icebox as I do, choose the middle bedroom on the top floor. It is blissful ignorance of the July weather outside!
The owner was a pleasure to deal with. Joanne was courteous, professional, and accommodating. Even when we locked all 4 keys in the house, she had us back inside with 15 minutes.
