Very safe neighborhood. House is in mountain- side sub division of 15 neighbors, that are close but cannot be seen (or heard) from the porch maintaining the feel of "pure nature".
Linens supplied, bar-b-que grill, use of work shop.
We just recently made this apartment available again due to the cancellation of our summer tenant for the last 2 years.
Who could ask for more. Carl & Dorothy were very accommodating. The home had everything that you need. Located on the side of the mountain with a porch overlooking the valley. A garage to park your car in. Home was well supplied with everything that you would need. I would recommend this property to anyone.
We have been staying here for the entirety of the past two summers. The porch overlooks a beautiful meadow and Albert Mountain thru which the Appalachian Trail runs. We got some of the most spectacular sunsets. The entire sky is a kaleidoscope of color stretching from east to west changing as the sun goes down. Sitting on the porch or from the inside of the apartment we were treated to an ever changing view. Hummingbirds, cardinals, chickadees, nuthatches, mourning doves, rose-breasted grosbeaks and American yellow finches were some of the birds that daily visited the porch with an occasional deer crossing the yard below.
The road to which the winding mountain road connects leads to a creek that dances thru the rocks and makes for a nice hiking path.
The huge garage easily accommodated our Toyota Tundra with room to spare and it is easily accessible to the apartment with no stairs to climb. The full size washer and dryer are also located in the garage.
It is located within easy access to: the picturesque and friendly town of Franklin with festivals and arts and crafts shows; plenty of hiking trails with breathtaking views and; outdoor activities such as fishing, biking, golf, tubing, gem mining.
The spectacular views, ultimate tranquility, central location and awesome landlords guarantee a most memorable vacation at this very special place in the mountains!
We had a peaceful and relaxing stay at this apartment in October. The view from the balcony to the fields below and the distant mountains was wonderful. It is located only a few minutes from Franklin and with easy access for day trips to nearby towns. Unloading/loading vehicle from the garage was easy with no stairs to climb. It has all equipment you need for cooking meals, with enough area for preparation. Owners were great to work with and allowed us to bring our well behaved small dog.
We really enjoyed our month in the mountains. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the birds and enjoying the view with no mosquitoes to bother us. Very centrally located to go either shopping, golfing, or hiking to some gorgeous waterfalls. Great landlords. We would highly recommend!
Lovely home and very hospitable landlord. The place is set back in the forrest with a great deal of privacy. Many, many song birds and humming birds. The view of the mountains and fields are great. Big enough for a couple.
Great place to get away and commune with nature!
My family stayed here for more then 5 weeks and it was one of the most memorable vacations. Breathtaking views and ultimate tranquility enhanced by numerous red cardinals and hummingbirds observed from comfort of comfy queen bed, sofa or dining table. Not to mention over spacious balcony with panoramic views of the Smoky Mountains. Huge garage with washer & dryer can accommodate besides car or big truck like mine( Tundra crew max) all your extra mountain gear and/or toys. House is surrounded with lush forest vegetation and tall trees while the winding mountain road that connects this well coherent neighborhood was my jogging path every morning. Mountain or road bicycling, outmost hiking, fresh farm produce close at hand , picturesque town of Franklin 10 minutes away, rainbow trout fishing, tubing, gem mining , charming micro breweries and well renowned BBQ restaurants, enchanted Cherokee reservation ... All within 20 miles or less ... With no trafic congestion - ever. Every day spent here was another jewel in this unforgettable vacation.
