Nice place to spend a week
Beautiful location and lots to do.
We enjoyed our stay with 5 adults and 5 kids. The grounds were very nice and there were plenty of bedrooms and seating. The piano was a nice unexpected feature and use of the paddle boards and kayaks was terrific. Our only complaints would be the separate bunk house could use some major help with the musty smell, the swimming area was a little murky and you may want to bring your own cooking utensils. I think the house may not be used by the owners very often and could use a little cosmetic love on the outside but the inside is well maintained and we really did enjoy our stay very much.
Worth every penny
The main house was well appointed, comfortable and homey. The water was right there with everything you could want. I personally didn't go into the guest house but it was used by my son and his boys and they enjoyed it. Shopping and activities were handy and dealing with Dora was a pleasure. She was always ready to answer any questions. All and all I would give it an A+
Amazing view - great vacation getaway on the Lake!
I had the pleasure of staying at here in May. I had spent time on Lake Winnipesaukee previously but this was my first time staying in the Moultenborough area. I found the location very convenient to the town of Meredith, a short boat ride from Wolfoboro, just up the road from Jo Jo's deli, and a short jaunt from delectable pizza at Mugs! Long story short - the place is convenient. If you have kids or are looking for a fun way to spend the day you can head over to Weirs Beach and ride go carts. The weekend we were in town there was a cute craft fair. Hands down the best feature of chipmunk is the expansive lakefront view. Panoramic is the only way to describe the feeling as you saunter on to the double docks and are seemingly engulfed by mountains, vegetation, the open lake, and fresh air. In the early mornings, we would eat breakfast with the sunrise on the dock and watch antique-like tug boats put along the lake. For us - it was the perfect city escape we had been longing for! The house itself may seem small from the outside at first glance, however, there is actually a ton of space. The interior gives a log cabin feel as it's lined with wood, and the shower pressure/water pressure is great! There was also a filtered water faucet at the sink, which was convenient. There is additional lodging adjacent to the main house, but we did not use it during our stay (though we did take a peek!) We really enjoyed our stay, and found the owners to be helpful and accommodating. The main purpose of may trip was a surprise proposal - which I had help from the Lakes Region Seaplane company - who gave us a stunning tour of the Lake after I had proposed. I highly recommend staying here!!!
