Nestled at the foot of Hualalai Volcano Kailua Kona had its beginning as a tiny fishing village.

We are directly across the 2 lane street (Alii Dr)from the ocean

Today you will still find that small village feeling and the Aloha Spirit alive and well.

The 2 lane road Alii Drive which travels along the ocean boasts scenery which cant be topped.Kailua is still that little sleepy town that closes up at 9 pm. A very few establishments are open till 10 or possibly 11 PM. The surfers are out waiting for the 'big one" in the morning and as always when sunset comes people stop doing whatever and watch in awe. Things really have stayed the same.

Holualoa Gardens sits midway between the resort areas of Kailua town and Keauhou. The complex is hidden just off Alii Dr which insures privacy and quiet. The building is directly across the street from the Pacific Ocean. Holualoa Bay and the popular surfing beach called Banyans is reached by simply walking across Alii Drive. Pick a sandy spot and have a picnic watching the sunset. La'aloa Beach Park which is also known as Magic Sands Beach is a popular place for boogie boarding. Magic Sands is located a short mile to the south.. Traveling another mile further south (2 miles from the condo) is Kahalu'u Beach which is considered one of the best snorkeling spots on the Island. (Turtle sighting are almost guaranteed )

We are located about 2 1/2 miles from the "downtown" The location is excellent as a home base. We are close to the village yet at a distance for peace and quiet. You couldnt find a better starting point.

Wanna have some fun? take our bikes and go for a ride along the ocean to the beach.

At about 6:30 walk across the street for some of the most fantastic sunset photos you will ever take

Our 1 bedroom 1 bath condo with enclosed lanai, sleeps 1-4 persons is located on the 3rd floor (easy walkup). Holualoa Gardens has only 12 units and a nice size swimming pool. The small size of the building lends toward a warm and friendly atomsphere. Felt like home

Adorable condo that was perfect for us. Kitchen with cookware, plenty of towels, beach things etc. The condo was also equipped with books about the area and suggestions to visit and eat. The owner was also very kind! Thank you so much for a great stay!

Was the perfect home away from home for our Big Island Adventure.

Loved the apartment. So many cute decorative touches to give it a warm Hawaiian feel, they put lots of thought into having items on hand for us such as snorkel equip, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, bikes (that we didn't use), and much more. It was a quiet building with friendly neighbors and we usually had the pool all to ourselves. Beach we could walk to and some unique shops. But we found we were a bit to far to walk to the main restaurant strip. Which was ok. Quieter by our location and only a few minutes to drive and easy to find parking on Ali'i Drive. Can't wait to come back again. Thank you Bruce!

Wonderful Kona Condo.

You’ll love this condo. It’s on the third floor and has everything you need. The location is perfect.....close to the ocean and to town too. It’s very spacious and comfortable. We appreciated all the little finishing touches. The screened in lanai was a bonus and great for drying our snorkeling gear. Birds chirping in the morning, snorkeling mid day, afternoon pupus and maities, and a short walk across the street for evening sunsets. What more could you ask for?

A Great place to stay!

Clean, comfortable and close to town

We had a nice visit to this condo. It's well equipped, with a comfortable bed, great kitchen, washer/dryer and lots of beach stuff to borrow. I also enjoyed the pool in the late afternoon when half of it was in the shade. Refreshing after a trip to town. Having an assigned parking spot is also nice after a long day. Would love to be able to see the surf but it's a short walk to the market a block down and a spot by the beach to sit there and watch the waves and sunset. I thought the near by hostel might be noisy but it wasn't at all. And the neighbors were friendly. 😀 Having the AC was nice in the evening but not needed the rest of the day before the sun gets to the lanai. Owner was helpful and responsive to questions and we especially enjoyed being able to pay half of a nights rate for a late check out since our flight wasn't until late evening. Soooo nice to be able to be here until it was time to go, I'd highly recommend this.

Affordable, spacious and great Kona location

This condo was comfortable, clean and had plenty of amenities. The location was a good base location for our journeys both north and south. Plenty of space for 2, room for more if couch sleeping isn't an issue! The covered balcony was great for hanging up wet gear. The owner was very helpful and provided a good list of local activities, restaurants and beaches. We would recommend for all except anyone with issues going up the stairs from the ground floor to the 3rd floor.
