There's no better way to end your journey than to arrive at this tranquil A-frame cedar cabin. Just read the comments from our guest book below. Brand new in 2007, Journey's End comes complete with an impressive great room accented by a 2-story wall of windows - framing your view of the ever-changing Pacific Ocean. A short walk down a shady lane takes you to a neighborhood beach path for your favorite beach activity. Famous for it's kite-friendly breezes, our beach is the best for leisurely strolls, bird watching, storm watching, hiking or just staring into the sunset and breathing that fresh salt air (there's nothing like it!) The sound of the surf will lull you to sleep at night.

Not quite oceanfront, Journey's End sits on a high dune overlooking the neighbor's rooftops and the Pacific's panorama. Two bedrooms - each with a pillowtop queen, one bath and a family/TV room are located in the second story loft. There's also an outdoor sundeck on this level. The lower level contains the master bedroom (pillowtop queen) with ensuite bath, an additonal full bath, a laundry room, fully-equipped kitchen with a serving bar, a dining area and a cozy livingroom with a stone fireplace (gas).

An additional covered deck is located off the kitchen/dining area complete with picnic table and beach chairs and grill for your enjoyment. Wood floors in the kitchen-dining-livingroom area contribute to the warmth and serenity. The classic cedar A-frame wood ceiling adds a tranquil vitality that is unique to this little gem by the sea. All of this is accented by contemporary beach colors and accessories. Comfortable, clean and new, with a view - the perfect 'Journey's End'.

Located in Ocean Park, a sleepy little beach town quietly hidden from the rest of the world. Journey's End is a short drive from groceries, post office, churches, a variety of shops and artists' studios, parks, a wildlife refuge, historic lighthouses and communities, the pristine Willapa Bay, and the culinary delights of restaurants that range from down-home local to world class. Just a 3-4 hour drive from Seattle, WA or 2-3 hours from Portland, OR.

About Sue Hermanns

Hello, this is Sue. Not the property owner, but the manager of this beautiful home. Originally from South Dakota, I've been living in Long Beach for over 20 years. I've been managing vacation rentals as Oceanfront Getaways for almost 20 years here. I love living at the beach and take every opportunity to share it with our guests. The owners of Journey's End contacted me as soon as they were finished building this home. I've been managing it ever since for them. Oceanfront Getaways has been awarded 5 stars for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction for several years in a row. I'm quite proud of that. Of course, it wouldn't happen without the help of my excellent cleaning team and my handyman husband who takes care of most of the maintenance of the homes I manage. My favorite beach activity is clam digging and I pursue it with a passion whenever there is a season opening.

This property was passed down from the owner's grandparents. The old home was replaced with this new Lindell Cedar Home in 2007. Many family memories were made on this property and the surrounding community. We hope you make some too.

What makes this house unique

This home offers TWO sunsets. Watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean downstairs, then head up the stairs and watch it again from the loft or the upper deck. :-)

Beautiful home, perfectly located by the ocean and cute little town nearby. House was very clean, comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. The house had very comfortable living space, with decks to enjoy the sun and views of the ocean and an open living space downstairs to cook and enjoy being together. The little town nearby had everything you could need, and it was a quick walk to the ocean. Overall, this is one of the best houses we have ever rented and would absolutely recommend to a friend or possibly stay here again

Beautiful, tranquil home.

Journey's End has become a tradition for our family. We stay there every summer, and occasionally make it during the off season. The home is comfortable and beautifully decorated. Sue, the property manager, has always been so helpful and easy to work with. I hope we will be able to make use of Journey's End for years to come!
