Everything we hoped for and more!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic 3-night stay in June with our family of 3. The cottage was comfortable, clean, and well stocked. The interior showed great craftsmanship and attention to detail in the decor. It was larger than we imagined after looking at the pictures. The grill was very clean, and we used it every day.

Russ was a great host. We communicated well before our stay and went above and beyond during as well.

The lake was perfect for exploring with kayaks, paddle boats, or on foot (lots of sandbars in many places!) Not too busy with water traffic. We kayaked multiple times across the lake to use the playground or get ice cream. The island adds some nice privacy to the beach in front of the cottage, and lots of wildlife to look at. About a 25 minute drive from Grand Haven.

We highly recommend this spot and hope to stay again!

The ultimate getaway

  • 5 of 5

This place was fantastic from top to bottom. We had 4 kids under the age of 10 with us and there was more then enough room. The water activities were fantastic. There was a pontoon, two paddle boats, and two kayaks ready for use. The weather was slightly cooperative but the water felt like bath water. It is not talked about enough but there is an island right in front of the house in the water that keep everything private and a small beach on the opposite side. The exterior of the home is lackluster but it makes up for that with a beautiful log cabin all wood interior. The place has anything you could need to use from kitchen supplies to games to play. We always travel to the big Muskegon beach but be wary it is a 25 minute drive.

The owner Russ was very helpful also. We had a day that Comcast did not work and we figured it out in minutes.

We will stay again.

Perfect week

  • 5 of 5

House was clean, everything was as advertised and we had a delightful time. Russ was a great communicator and the only thing he couldn't do was turn up the temperature on the weather by about 5 degrees, but we were willing to let that slide since everything else was perfect. We'll be back!

very awesome place!

  • 5 of 5

spent some time there with my son as a bonding weekend (he's 24) and the place was perfect. Cabin was clean and modern. right on the lake with paddle boat - didn't use but was available- kayaks and a nice sandy beach. Weather was great so we did some fishing, kayaked around the lake and made plenty of use of the pontoon boat ( highly recommend ). Both of us put the phones away most of our time up there. cool breeze off the lake meant no turning on the A/C but we did manage to get a little sun burnt. Russ was very friendly and helpful. My son and I will definitely be back probably with mom and sister. This place would be perfect for a family with younger kids - bunk beds, sandy beach, safe boats and fishing good even to actually catch a few fish. Lake is not very deep so it warms up pretty quick as we were there in June and could go swimming. Also I believe there is an amusement park nearby. I would definitely put this place up with some of the better/best places I've stayed at and will recommend it to family and friends. We'll be back!!

My husband and I came up to spend sometime with our adult children that live near by. My dream is to have a cottage on a lake. This place is the dream! We had such an awesome time! Beautiful....clean...and so cute! We will be renting again next year! My husband said" why do I need to buy you one when we can rent this one!?" That is true!! LOVED IT!
