House, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, Sleeps 8
About Cynthia Muller
This property has been in the family since 1910. The land was originally used as a grain farm but after its purchase by Edmund R. Polk and his wife Agnes, with their five children, developed the land into a summer resort called Viewpoint Beach Resort.
Cynthia Muller purchased this House in 1910
Why Cynthia Muller chose Sister Lakes
This property has a wide appeal for those who seek a real American summer experience. Swimming, sunbathing, boating and family bonfires help to make a memorable time at the lake. Area attractions and shopping in Dowagiac, Niles and St. Joseph add to the family fun!
What makes this House unique
Turtle Cove has a wide-open kitchen/living area that is conducive to family gatherings. The pier on the channel provides mooring for your boat or a rental boat. Tha natural beauty of the land and water, plus the spaciousness of the yard, make it a perfect get-a-way. Because 3 cottages are adjacent to one another (Frog Hollow, Turtle Cove and Herons Nest) , the setting is perfect for family reunions, wedding parties and large gatherings of friends. Plenty of parking for vehicles available. Parking is plentiful.

Quite little getaway
We loved our stay! We were here for my brothers wedding and this was s much better choice then smh hotel can offer!! The area was beautiful, the turtle cove house was so spaciest and located on the canal just three house away from the opening of the lake. Very private, lots of parking located on a dead end street. Stores and restaurants are close. Across from our house on the lake side was an area for us to hang out and beach it all day. Then simply walk back home to eat or nap when needed. We rented a pontoon boat. Lots of areas to beach it on the sand bar and enjoy the clean water. The water was warm and the lake is super large!! Cynthia the owner was super sweet and very easy going. Easy check in and check out process. I would defiantly come back with my family and do it again!! Highly recommend! Nice getaway!!
Wonderful- would stay again!
It was a fantastic stay! Cynthia was very accommodating with all my request. Even went above and beyond for use because we were coming from out of state. We had family in town that came to the house and the house was more than big enough for 15-20 people to hang out! Fantastic stay!
Great long weekend here at the lake! We enjoyed relaxing in the home (it was just very humid inside in late June!). Loved the convenience of a boat rental which Cynthia made so easy for us. Really Great Lake to to stay on!!! We would come back here if we are in the area, because you can’t beat it for the price!
Very comfortable cabin. Only had 4 adults staying there but we had lots of family living nearby and had nearly 30 people visiting a few nights and all went very well. Very roomy and accommodating.
Thank you for your kind words.
Just what we were looking for. Qwner helpful. Loved large community room and strong WiFi.
Really enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for your kind comments!
Great time at Turtle Cove and grest host. Thanks Cynthia
My husband, myself and our 80 & 92 year old mothers rented Turtle Cove over labor day weekend. We thought the cottage was clean, cozy and very comfortable. We rented the pontoon for a day and really enjoyed the lake and the canal. I would recommend a stay here.
Thank you for your kind comments.
