Awesome stay!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay! Mrs. Nina was great to work with and answered any questions we had promptly prior to our stay. The cabin was welcoming and comfortable. My kids really enjoyed the visits from Harper, one of the neighborhood dogs. She was so sweet and wanted to play fetch with them! Even though its 5.5 hours away, it is Definitely on our list of a place to come back to in the future! Thank you Mrs. Nina again for everything!

We loved everything about this magical place we called home for a week ! Driving up the mountain was easy and it felt like we were moving closer to GOD. We arrived at an immaculate beautiful cabin with sweet flowers and a huge hot tub ! The bathroom was well supplied with the little things that was a plus especially for our 17 year old granddaughter ! We slept peacefully and the weather was perfect ! We had one very warm day and the air conditioner worked awesomely ! Cedars is the best place to have family to enjoy each other and we played games that was already there, read a few books, and walked on the drive trail. Cedars is our new tradition - we loved it and Nina is a wonderful host ! PS We had the pleasure of Harper, Lil Harper, (sweet dog and pup) and the caramel cat we named Buster that came to visit which really made our place feel like home !!

Owner's Response: It's always a joy having a family stay and enjoy exactly what these cabins are built for... solitude, serenity, privacy, natural surroundings... although we don't promote luxury, we promote the very big things that matter, like sunsets, forest sounds and smells, quiet, and more than adequate amenities! Thank you very much for blessing our space with your live together. I hope you'll find your way back again soon, as many do... Nina

Great cabin in the mountains.

  • 5 of 5

Brought my family for a summer trip. My boys loved the put doors and we made several day excursions to surrounding water falls and trails. They were all within a 20 minute ride from the cabin. The way up is steep but manageable in most vehicles. It wouldn't be a cabin in the mountains otherwise:). The views were beautiful and the cabin was very inviting. The bed was comfortable and we spent evenings in the living room playing games. There is a grocery store about 10 minutes down the road for any items you need. The cabin allowed our Labrador which we enjoyed since it's always hard to find a place where he can come with us. Would definitely come again.

Not pleased

  • 1 of 5

So disappointed. The cabin we viewed and rented from online pictures was not the cabin were given. Steep drive up and extremely narrow driveway with tiny parking area. We have an Expodition and navigating tight turnaround was difficult. Do not bring any type of trailer. Cabin was not the brightly colored interior with pretty quilts on the walls. Everything very old looking. The beautiful view of mountains from hot tub was obstructed by trees. Could glimpse little bit of mountains from porch. Hot tub worked and place clean. Did tell manager but no explanation as to why different. I'm from North GA and have stayed in various places in area and was disappointed that this was not what was presented online.

Owner's Response: My dear guest. It is very unfortunate that somehow you observed pictures of our one bedroom, Evenstar Cabin with the bright yellow walls and pretty red door, then chose to lodge at the Cedars Cabin because you had more guests than our one bedroom would accommodate. I'm very sad when guests choose to flaunt their complaints for the whole world to see. I apologize for the misunderstanding as to what your cabin would look like inside. As for the trees, and the view on your arrival, it is impossible to keep up with tree growth when it rains every day but we will address that part of your complaint as the weather permits. Thank you for sharing your opinion with the universe. May The Force be with you, Nina Scripps Rivendell Cabins
