Lovely cottage on the river!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage on the Rock River was wonderful! The accommodations were comfortable and homey. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was roomy and the outdoor charcoal grill was perfect for grilling! The breakfast room with the river view was our favorite spot to hang out if we weren’t outside on one of the decks. The river views were so calming and relaxing. We will definitely go back!

Beautiful and quiet getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This was a beautiful and roomy home, tucked away in a quiet little part of town. The house is right on the river which provides amazing views. The owner was also extremely helpful in giving us ideas of what to do in the area and just as far as answering questions. I would highly recommend this property

The house was clean. Owners were very responsive to questions. Property is right on the river. Very peaceful and going into town was very quick. Would recommend to anyone. Just be aware cell phones struggle with signal. 5 stars and thanks again Tanzie.

River Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed a wonderful weekend. We were in town for a high school graduation. The house provided the space for fun family meals and smores by the fire pit. We enjoyed sitting by the river with our morning coffee. The house is set up with everything we needed to feel at home!

Cozy house, cool layout

  • 5 of 5

Tanzie and Hal's home is awesome, just like all the reviews say. It's got a really unique and interesting layout, kind of an open flow from one room to the next which makes it both cozy and spacious. This is a lived-in home with all the essentials - spices, kitchen appliances, shampoos, even binoculars! We visited in the dead of winter, and spent our mornings drinking coffee in the sun porch looking out over the frozen river - beautiful. In the evening we cooked meals and played some of the many board games at the house. Oh - and the beds are super comfortable! Totally recommended, we'll definitely be planning a summer trip. If you're in town for a few days, be sure to check out the old piano factory in Oregon and stop for a beer at the Roadhouse on your way home.
