Comfortable & Cozy Wagon Wheel House - Lakeside, AZ (pet friendly)(May-Oct.)

Our wonderful stay at the Wagon Wheel House, June 2017.

  • 5 of 5

My family and friends stayed at the Wagon Wheel House for 3 nights in June 2017.

Our overall experience was wonderful.

First, the organization and help provided while booking and preparing for the stay was exceptional. The information provided by Angie made sure that nothing was left to chance.

The house itself lived up to its was very comfortable and cozy. It was very clean and everything was provided to make our stay comfortable including WiFi, hundreds of CDs, great TV with satellite, BBQ, patio chairs and table etc. It was in a great location, close to shops and attractions.

When we arrived, there was a lovely apple pie as a welcoming gift. Angie even visited us to make sure we had everything we need and she gave us tips on local events and restaurants.

This was a great stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting the White Mountains.

Cool time in the mountains

This is a great place to escape the desert heat and literally just chill. Very clean and conveniently located to both eating and hiking sites. I love watching the hummingbirds feed in the yard and brewing fresh coffee every morning.

This is the 4th year we have spent memorial day weekend at the Wagon Wheel House and as always it was wonderful. The boys is spotless, well stocked, and very comfortable. The owner goes out of her way to make you feel at home. Even as far as to have a wonderful baked good waiting for you. Highly recommended.

Owner's Response: We enjoy helping renters have a nice time at our rental. It is a home away from home. It is our old house and love to keep it up so others can enjoy it as much as we did.

Outstanding place to stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I, along with our dog and cat, stayed here for nearly a month. When we arrived, we discovered that the owner, Angie, had left a delicious apple pie and wine for us. The house was very clean, it was the perfect size for us and our pets, and it had all the comforts of home. Our dog enjoyed exploring the large and fully fenced yard. The weather in September was so nice that we spent lot of time on the screened in porch, which has a comfortable recliner and futon. Our pets loved watching the birds and squirrels from the porch. The house is conveniently located to restaurants and other businesses. Angie provided a binder with a lot of useful information, including recommended restaurants, trail maps, things to do and see, etc. There was a huge selection of DVD's, as well as books for kids and adults, and board games. Across the street there is access to an extensive network of trails through the forest, including the highly developed Rim Trail which offers views of the Mogollon Rim. I hiked on these trails for an hour every day. Really great to have those trails so close by. I heartily recommend this rental for long or short term stays.
