Relax at Keuka Paradise

Bedrooms 2
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 2 - 7 nights

About the property

Cottage - 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, Sleeps 6 (Max)

Cute 2 bedroom lakefront cottage with additional converted boathouse at water's edge with 84' of frontage - perfect for viewing the sunset across the lake and taking in the easy lifestyle of Keuka Lake.

There are approximately 20 steps down to the cottage from the car parking but once there the property is just 2 to 3 feet above the water's edge. There are two comfortable Adirondack chairs awaiting you on the porch before you enter the cottage. From here you can sit relax and watch the boats going past, the fishermen fishing or your children swimming off the dock and float in front (dock & float in lake between May 15th and October 1). There is also a full size picnic table with umbrella and charcoal grill located between the cottage and the boathouse. The gently sloping gravel beach in front of the boathouse has a fire pit and allows guests to wade slowly into the water.

The cottage has been recently renovated including tile floors throughout, a newer bathroom and kitchen with full size range, oven, microwave & dishwasher. There are chairs, a sofa, a flat screen television and air conditioning unit in the living area. The bathroom has a shower. The cottage has two bedrooms - a queen size bed in one room and a full size bed in the other. There is also a boathouse overlooking the water that has newer windows and screens, recently water proofed, painted, carpeted, with air conditioning. The boathouse has bunk beds, a dresser and futon that can be pulled out for sleeping (however, it has no heat and there is no separate bathroom in this structure). The cottage is SMALL (approx 550 sqft) home and should be limited to 4 adults/children unless the boathouse is being used with the information noted above.

Late Spring and early Fall are more peaceful and tranquil and a great time for wine touring, visiting local museums, boating, fishing and more.

About james cedarstrand

Grew up spending summer's on Keuka Lake with our Grandparents. Have owned another home on the lake since 1997. Looking to bring the relaxing lifestyle to others.

james cedarstrand purchased this cottage in 2012

What makes this cottage unique

There are not many "flat" properties on Keuka lake. However, once you do get down the 19 steps from the road, there is a quiet serenity with only a couple steps here and there between the lake and the cottage. Located approximately halfway between Hammondsport and Penn Yan. Owner is a member at Lakeside Country Club and will arrange golf if you should desire.

Awesome owner, very reliable.

This is a great location for two to four people. The views are spectacular. The house is has everything you need for cooking a few meals. The fire pit was a plus. The owner is very responsive, and made our stay easy and comfortable. There are some steps to get down to the house, but you are lake level once settled. The stairs are wide, and well lit. I will recommend this to family and friends.

we had a wonderful time at the lake house; The house in some ways is small; but 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds the bunk house with lots of room ; large enough kitchen wonderful shower; and a the living room a Lake View to die for. House is clean and well cared for; we had a small problem and the owner was on it rite away!

Fishing was good and swimming too; room for our boat in a great lift and great place for kayaking too,

We will return!!!!!

Excellent, as always

Third year in a row renting this property, clean and cozy. My daughters love to sleep in the boathouse, so you actually have three bedrooms. Peaceful neighborhood.

Great Location! Right on the Lake!

  • 4 of 5

Recently stayed here for several nights to take in wineries and kayak. Could not ask for a better location. The cottage is right on the lake with a great beach to launch kayaks. The place is small so if you are looking for a roomy cottage this is not it. The furnishings are nice and updated, as is the kitchen. We did have quite a bit of rain, but no problems occurred. It was nice to have the deck chairs on the front porch and the view of the lake from the table each morning as we ate breakfast. We would recommend this place and would return!

Cute, clean, and close to the water

  • 5 of 5

My fiance and I spend every Memorial Day weekend in the Finger Lakes. This was our first time staying so close to the lake, and it was great.

The cottage is small, but nicely updated. They kept a lot of the original mid-century touches while making it comfortable for use today. It's also right on the water, so we spent a lot of time just sitting on the front porch while our pup played on the grass, enjoying the view. It's about halfway up the lake on the East side, so you get the afternoon sun and the sunsets, which are amazing.

There is a charcoal grill provided, which we used quite a bit, and a fire pit. There was no need to spend evenings anywhere else, in our opinion.

We'd definitely come back to this property and recommend it highly.
