A beautiful peaceful lake experience
The lake is amazingly beautiful. The cottage was built in the 1930"s but has everything you need for your lake experience. The hosts are wonderful folks. We would come back.
Best Vacation Ever!!!!
The whole estate is BEAUTIFUL!!! Everything was clean inside and out. The grounds were beautifully manicured. The owner and the property managers are All Wonderful People. They made sure we were comfortable and didn't need anything. We are very happy that they added an awning over the porch. It help so much with keeping the deck and cabin cooler with out obstructing our views. The kitchen has just enough cooking pans, utensils etc to cook all the food we brought. We are looking forward to coming back as soon as we can. Thank You All!
A hidden gem
My husband and I spent a few marvelous days on this property. The views of the lake with a hilly backdrop simply cannot be beat, The place is private - a great find for someone who wants to find peace and quiet- yet not isolated. The property managers, Susan and Ray, are incredibly welcoming and helpful. and truly care about the property and the guests and so is the owner, Ron. All in all, if you want to get away from the craziness of the city and immerse yourself in a rustic charm, this place is for you.
Cute and rustic
The property is charming. The owner/managers more so. The cabin is rustic in a good way. My family and friends had a great time. The property is fence in with limited access, so great for families.
10+ stars if we could!!! LOVED it. We’ll be back again!!!
2 adults and 5 kids plus our two furry kids spent 3 wonderful days in cabin 2. Susan and Ray, the managers, were simply superb and Ron, the owner with his two furry kids, was adorable. Our cabin was rustic and charming. The adults decided to sleep outside on the grass under the stars and it was AMAZING!!! We opted to bring sleeping bags and paper plates/plastic spoons to make our life easier. We all enjoyed time away from electronics since there’s no TV and instead spent all our time in the lake or playing board and card games. The idyllic location reminded us of being on Lake Como in Italy: simply stunning!!!
Thank you Susan, Ray and Ron!!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words. We all enjoyed your family and your big boy dogs with us as we get such satisfaction watching families who obviously love being together finding pleasure in the natural beauty of our "secret" paradise. Looking forward to your next visit and showing you the implementation of your well thought out suggestions. Until next time...Ron, Ray and Susan along with Cinnamon & Ollie
What a Great Lake Escape
My boyfriend, his parents and I stayed here for 4 nights over 4th of July and we had a phenomenal time! We were in cabin 2 and had everything we needed. The Murphy beds are way more comfortable than I would've thought and the portable air units kept us cool, almost cold at night. We spent most of our time on the deck of the cabin or down in the picnic area. We grilled, fished, floated, and relaxed. My bf's dad said this was the first vacation he could remember that he didn't open his laptop once! The other cabins weren't rented during our stay so we had the entire area to ourselves. The property is gated and felt safe and our dog was able to enjoy everything as well without worrying about her.
The kitchen is small but suited our needs just fine. Everything was clean and tidy and we can't say enough about the property hosts Susan and Ray. They made sure we had everything we needed and provided information about the area. They really are two of the nicest people I've met! We knew the cabins were rustic and that's what we were looking for. There are spiders and critters on the property, but not one inside the cabin! There's even a bathroom accessible outside by the picnic area so you don't have to go back up to the cabin.
We would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing getaway on the lake. You can't beat the picnic area under the trees and having your own private beachfront and dock. We brought floats and rope and tied up to the dock and enjoyed watching all the birds (even saw a bald eagle) and watercraft while being safely out of the way in the cove. My boyfriend caught a huge catfish from the dock along with crappie, blue fins and others. Really just an amazing time and we'd definitely love to come back to Honeymoon Cove estates!! Thanks again Ron, Ray, and Susan! What a gem you have there!
Thank you for choosing us! You are the perfect guests and we look forward to having you back as soon as you can carve out another vacation! All the best to each of you...Ron, Ray and Susan
