Great rental for a large group.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with a large group while in New Orleans for a conference. The condo was truly terrific.

Location: About 5-10 minutes from Canal St. and the French Quarter. Very easy to get where you want to go! Even better, there are multiple restaurants and bars within a block or two, as well as a large grocery store.

Beds: There is one queen bed downstairs in a master bedroom and three in an upstairs loft (2 twin and 1 full). There is also a full sized couch in the TV room as well as a love seat.

Kitchen: There is a large mini fridge and a large freezer. Plenty of glassware, plates, and pans. We were here for about a week, and it was no problem cooking a few meals. There is also a gas grill outside in a beautiful courtyard that we did not end up having a chance to try.

Bathrooms: 1 small bathroom off the kitchen and one large bathroom near the master bedroom. The large bathroom has frosted glass and a swinging door (no lock). Both have showers, in the large bathroom is a very large, luxurious shower with a rainfall shower head.

Rest of the condo: Plenty of space, large dining room table, several TVs. Wifi was present, but fairly slow. The doors have code locks, so no key required, which was very convenient, especially with a large group. Spiral staircase to loft is a little tricky to navigate. Loft also heats up during the daytime, but multiple fans and AC kept this from being an issue.

Owners: Very responsive and helpful. There was a small mix-up with the cleaning staff when we arrived, but this was immediately cleared up. Very accommodating regarding checking in early/late.

Great Condo & Location!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the 2 bedroom condo & LOVED it! The condo is in the Arts/Warehouse district, which is nice & only about 6 blocks from the French Quarter. We had such a blast & walked EVERYWHERE, even though there was a streetcar stop at the corner of our street. The amazing WWII Museum is also just around the corner about 3 blocks away. We had so much fun with all of the hustle & bustle, but was nice to get back to a quiet, relaxing condo. The condo was so comfy & spacious, and provided us with everything that we needed during our stay. The owners were so easy to deal with, and answered all of our questions prior to our visit. Did I mention that the doors have code locks, so there are no keys to try & keep up with either. Would definitely recommend to friends!

Family Visit to New Orleans

  • 3 of 5

We booked three nights in the 2BR/2BR unit for my husband, myself, and our 2 young adult kids. Although the unit was very true to the posted photos, having experienced VRBO rentals in London, Paris, Maui, and British Columbia, we were disappointed to discover several deficiencies.

The location was lovely, close to many attractions and restaurants. The unit is charmingly decorated, although hauling suitcases up the spiral staircase was challenging. We did not have a vehicle, so cannot comment on parking facilities. Beds were immaculate, and there were plenty of bath towels. None of the bedrooms had doors, however, so personal privacy was limited, and as the loft bedroom opens to the kitchen/eating area, sleeping late was not an option!

We experienced an overnight thunderstorm, and woke up during the night to find water dripping from the master bedroom ceiling. Given the visible water damage to the ceiling and wood floor, we suspect this to be an established problem. We placed towels on the floor to deal with the water, and were glad we had not placed any personal items in that particular corner of the room!

Having internet access was very important to us, and was a critical factor when considering our accommodation choice. We did not have internet access for two of our three nights, and only succeeded in obtaining internet access when my husband decided to speak with a neighbouring business, trouble-shooting himself, and managing to solve the problem. This was after calling the contact/owner - without resolution.

The kitchen, while reasonably provisioned, did not have enough coffee mugs, making mornings interesting. There were no wine glasses, and the pots and pans available had seen better days. Their non-stick coatings were extremely damaged. Washing dishes was tricky, as there was no sink plug, dish drainer rack, or tea towels. Neither was there any dishwasher soap.

The doorknob on the second bathroom was broken, making opening a closed door tricky. After struggling to get out of the bathroom, our kids learned that they could not fully close the bathroom door - unless they were willing to struggle to get the door opened.

Some local information would have been appreciated. In the past, owners have provided restaurant suggestions, favourite destinations/activity ideas, and other "insider" knowledge. this would have been appreciated.

Ditch the hotel and stay here instead.

  • 5 of 5

Literally just got back today from birthday/halloween weekend in New Orleans. 7 of us stayed here, a mixed group of singles and couples in our mid thirties. The apartment was true to photos, tons of extra towels and pillows/blankets plus everything you need to cook although we did not do so.

If you are a close knit group of friends or family this is a great place. We pretty much just slept and showered here, spent most of our time out exploring. If someone doesn't mind crashing on a couch you could sleep 8 and the beds and pillows were so comfortable I will actually miss them. Spiral staircase would definitely be tricky for anyone who doesn't get around well.

Sandra was fantastic to deal with, great communication and made sure we had everything we needed. Apt is one block from street car line and our cab fares to quarter/frenchman st. etc were about $15 each time. Would definitely stay here again!

Birthday getaway weekend

  • 5 of 5

I booked both the 2 BR unit and 1 BR unit next door for my best friends birthday get a way weekend (total of 7). My friends were extremely pleased with my choice of accommodations . YAY for me!!! They couldn't stop raving about it!!! We were just a short walk from bourbon street but yet just far enough from all the loud nouse and craziness of the French quarter at night . I was not able to get out too much due to illness so I was able to relax and recover very comfortably during my stay .

Sandra was extremely nice and accommodated all of us when we arrived hours before check in . And she quickly rectified whatever small issues were presented.

The condo has everything to offer . I had read reviews that the upstairs tends to get very warm but I was relieved when I saw several fans set up in the area. We slept very comfortably .

The master bathroom/shower downstairs was AMAZING!!! I loved the lovely vintage condo decor . After posting several photos up, I've already had several friends inquiring about the condo(s).

Cannot wait to return for my next visit .

Great location! Great place for families!

  • 5 of 5

The owner of this condo is so nice and easy to contact and work with. The Condo was clean and comfortable. Our family enjoyed our time there during a Mardi Gras. We even caught a couple of parades by just walking out the door and up one block. Parking was easier than we thought too as there are a few parking lots close. The owner sent us a link to the parking lot company so we could gave an idea where they were located. We felt very safe here and there are lots of places close to eat at. We would contact this owner again if we find ourselves in NOLA again.
