Comfortable beach cottage, well equipped, right on the beach

  • 5 of 5

We had a family weekend here for 4 adults, 1 preschooler. The location is excellent. Great sunsets, big beach at low tide and water lapping at the wall below the patio at high tide. Walking distance to Birch Bay State Park, clamming directly below the cottage. Three days of sun without much breeze made outdoor sitting and relaxing extra nice.

Kitchen is well equipped and functional for cooking meals in. There is a large gas grill on the patio, and a metal fire pit that we used for small fires and marshmallows. Easy parking for two cars right in front off the street, an outside sink for washing sandy items and washer/dryer inside are all useful. Good wi-fi. We had a wonderful time. Thank you. We hope to return.

Home away from home

  • 5 of 5

This has truly become my home away from home. Our fourth visit! We really enjoy the location and walks to nearby Birch Bay State Park. The cottage is clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time on the gorgeous waterfront deck enjoying the views, playing games and just relaxing. At low tide you can walk way out to see sand dollars and tiny crabs in the tide pools. From sunrise where the waters are calm and the sky turn from pink to blue… to sunset watching the sky change from blue to pink to red with reflections on the water - it is just simply beautiful all day long.

Great oceanfront location!

  • 5 of 5

At high tide the bay laps up against the bottom of the bulkhead at the rear of the home. Huge rear patio with privacy walls on both sides. We rented kayaks and a paddle board for the week (much cheaper out of Yeager's in Bellingham) and the access for getting them in the water couldn't have been easier at high tide. House was well-equipped and comfortable. We had difficulty finding good food in Birch Bay so it was nice to have the option of using the kitchen or gas grill on the patio. Great week for our family!

Clean, beautiful cottage in great location! Third time visitor

  • 5 of 5

This was our third visit to Absolutely Oceanfront! The cottage is clean, organized and well stocked. The beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet so we slept very well. The large waterfront patio is awesome - a great place to watch the most beautiful sunsets and easy beach access for beachcombing. As a birdwatcher, I enjoyed sightings from the patio of bald eagles, kildeer, greater yellowlegs, dozens of great blue heron and seagulls of course. Easy walking distance to Birch Bay State Park and Birch Bay shops and restaurants. The C Shop has great candy and ice cream! Favorite side trips include Lynden, WA and White Rock, BC but best of all is staying right at the cottage and enjoying the fabulous location right on the bay!
