Wonderful Atlantic Ocean and pool view from your Private Balcony in this two bedroom condo in Beachside Colony Resort. The condo entrance is less than 100 steps from three oceanfront pools – one heated year-round, another Kid's Pool with waterfall. The pool area connects to private beach access and Marlin Monroe's Oceanside restaurant. Newly furnished and decorated, the condo and Beachside Colony Resort complex, located mid-island, combination creates a unique experience. The condo features a comfortable living space including a complete kitchen with glass top range, island breakfast bar and solid surface countertops and a separate dining area. Comfortable seating in the family room with 9-feet ceilings, including a queen sleeper sofa TV/DVD which is connected to the deck, that has views of the ocean, three pools and grass courtyard. The master bedroom features a king bed, TV and adjoining private master bath with twin lavatories and shower. The guest bedroom features a queen bed, TV and adjacent bathroom with single vanity and tub/shower combination.

Marlin Monroe’s beachside restaurant and bar are 'on the grounds' and the YMCA, library and children's playground are just across the street. You can stay connected through high-speed cable internet, including wireless access.

Well appointed condo

We stayed here for a week over Easter weekend. The kitchen is very well appointed - we found everything that we needed for cooking, dishes & glasses and extras I didn't expect (food storage items, for example). The family room is very comfortable. The table has 6 chairs although it is pushed against the wall and there isn't a lot of room to walk if you pull it out - that was ok, we only needed 4 chairs. The mattresses on both beds are VERY FIRM and you can feel the springs - seems like they need replacing. The beds were not comfortable for any of us. The master bath is well appointed and very large - loved the shower. The pull out sleeper sofa was probably the best bed in the condo. The way these condos are set up, the master bedroom is next to the hallway so whenever anyone walks by you can hear them talking, yelling, walking, etc. This seemed to be a design flaw of the entire complex. It was similar to being in a hotel where you can generally hear everything that happens outside the room. Otherwise the condo is quiet. It is on the 2nd floor and there wasn't anyone above us so I can't comment on whether or not you would be able to hear them had it been occupied.

Overall we loved Tybee and the complex is nice - you get a good view of the pool and some beach views. The heated pool was not working for half of our stay but that wasn't a problem because the weather was warm. I heard from people that stay there often that the heated pool has always been operational before so I wouldn't be concerned about that. Also the front door is coded so you don't need a key. This was excellent - we didn't have to worry about keys and everyone could come and go as they pleased. There was plenty of parking although the first time you try and find the condo it can be confusing but once found, you will find a close parking space with no issues.

Property management company was good - we arrived late due to traffic issues and they were able to accommodate us with no problems.

Owner's Response: I really appreciate the feedback and kind words about the condo. I work hard to keep the condo in great condition and clean. The kitchen table and sleeper-sofa are newer and the sleeper-sofa is a premium model that as you noted is very comfortable. I am constantly restocking and replacing items to make the experience special for guests. I get a lot of great feedback about the views of the pool and ocean, the nice bathrooms and spaciousness of the condo. The mattresses are more on the firm side and your concern is the first I have received. Although the mattresses are only a few years old, I now plan to replace both mattresses as soon as possible over the next month.
