Remodeled condo with breathtaking views! Sunset pictures shown are from the screened lanai. With over 1200 square feet, this condo is light, bright and roomy. This top (2nd) floor, corner unit has a spectacular view of Blind Pass Inlet and partial view of the Gulf from the living room with a 15' newly re-screened lanai and a wall of sliding glass doors all overlooking the water. This condo is on the quiet, "South End" of the island virtually across the small lane from the only two waterfront restaurants on Siesta Key and also just down the road from the newly renovated Turtle Beach, Turtle Beach Playground and the Turtle Beach Marina.

This vacation home is ideal for those looking for a beautiful and quiet getaway and those who enjoy outdoor activities as it offers direct access to miles of boating or paddling among the islands and the wildlife of the Neville Marine Preserve and Little Sarasota Bay. It is perfect for those who enjoy walking or reading on the beach, fishing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating, biking, etc. Put your car keys away; in minutes you or your loved ones can walk to the beach, with no streets to cross! After a fun-filled day you can walk just up the street to Turtle Beach Grill or virtually across the street to either Turtle's Restaurant or Ophelia's on the Bay, Siesta Key's only waterfront restaurants. You are also perfectly positioned to rent kayaks, pontoon boats, deck boats, jet skis and stand up paddle-boards at Turtle Beach Marina or Siesta Sports Rentals. And, you can pull your rental boat, paddle-board or kayak right up to the dock in front of the condo. On the days you want to lay low you can fish from the dock or seawall or relax in one of the seating areas right on the waterfront and watch the manatees float by.

The newly improved Turtle Beach public areas contribute to the fun, but lower-key, atmosphere of Siesta Key's South End. Recent improvements around Turtle Beach include not only a long beautiful stretch of beach for swimming, fishing, paddling or strolling, but also BBQ and picnic areas, a new playground, beach volleyball court, kayak launch, and outdoor showers/restroom facilities.

The eight unit Mariner's Inlet community itself is also a quiet, relaxing and friendly place you can easily make your "home away from home". Only this and one other unit are ever rented as all the others are owner-occupied. Thus, you will never experience the noise or frustrations found in buildings with many renters coming and going from multiple units at all hours. (Conversely, if you happen to be looking for that "beach party scene" or plan a boisterous gathering, this is decidedly not the place for you.) Rather, we welcome guests who will treat our home and our neighbors as they would their own home and their own neighbors.

This relaxing, sun-filled and spacious condo is a perfect place to enjoy Siesta Key for an extended vacation while still being only minutes to the village, shopping and nightlife. Moreover, if you are heading to Siesta Key Village, you can always ride a bike, take the bus (Route 10) that stops 100 yards away, or take one of the "tips only" taxis that shuttle people up and down the island day and night. Given that we are south of the Stickney Point Bridge, you can also avoid most of the Siesta Key traffic when you want to go "off island" for shopping, museums or other activities in the broader Sarasota area.

Master bedroom has a pillow-top king bed, high thread-count sheets, attached full bath and walk-in closet. There is a desk in the room should you need to sneak in a bit of work between your fun.

2nd bedroom has a pillow-top queen bed, high thread-count sheets with the second full bath directly across hall.

The large screened lanai is perfectly situated to enjoy the water views, evening sunsets and watch the fishing boats and paddlers float by. The lanai has new screens, new porch paint and two new chairs this year.

2 beach cruiser bikes available for use during your stay and more bikes, as well as kayaks and paddle boards, can be rented and delivered right to the door.

2 new flat screen TVs, cable w/DVR, games, books, and cards provided.

Wifi provided at no charge.

Smoking is not allowed anywhere in condo, including on the lanai.

We would be happy to consider including dogs over 2 years old who are well behaved and do not bark excessively. But, dogs must be approved beforehand. Let's discuss among us dog-lovers. (Guests who arrive with a dog without receiving approval first will lose their security deposit.)

Please read the full property description carefully. In particular, please note that, although we are on the water and around the corner from the beach, there is no pool. Also, the condo is on the second floor, up a flight of stairs; there is no elevator or other limited mobility access. The private garage is not large enough to hold an RV or an extra tall van.

The condo is quiet, right on the water and, as a corner unit with lots of windows, has a lighter and more spacious living room than most condos this size. It is beautiful in the morning as the sun glints off the water, and at the end of an active day we love the incredible sunsets right from our living room and lanai. It is only minutes away from everything, yet feels as if you are a world away from the crowds and traffic near the more touristy areas.

What makes this condo unique

Lots of sunlight, overlooking the water, a dock for fishing or your boat, private garage, fantastic views, and just a short walk to the beach, the marina and fabulous restaurants, all on the quiet end of the island.

Perfect - Even better than advertised.

The living room wall of windows and the lanai are just fabulous spaces open to the water so that you feel you are living half outside. As some others have mentioned, the living room, the master bedroom and the kitchen are quite large and having the extra windows of a corner unit is really nice. The condo was very clean. It has everything you could possibly need, but is neat and uncluttered. The sunsets truly are spectacular. A beautiful way to wind down every day. We loved just watching people kayak and paddleboard on the inlet, with the larger gulf view behind. And, although less well-known than the Siesta Key Village area, this South End location really is great; no crowds, and you don't need your car to go to the beach, the bar, the marina or great restaurants. And, if you want to venture further, you can ride bikes! (But, be forewarned; the bike-ride to Siesta Key Village is not a 5 minute exercise. I recommend taking the free trolly back from any restaurant there.) Also, from this end it is so much easier getting off the island for shopping, etc. The building is relatively small and low-key, the neighbors we met were plenty friendly, and the private garage is another very nice feature as it keeps your car both safe and cool.

This condo is in a Great location, always clean, love the 5 minute walk to the beach! Perfect beach setting, lots of shells, beautiful water! We also love the dock & lagoon fishing!! Fisherman's paradise!

Awesome Condo!

My friends and I arrived early on the morning of 07/23 for a 4 day stay. We had 6 people total so we were a little apprehensive about the size of the place, but the price was right so we booked it. As soon as we walked in we were extremely impressed. Like others have written, it looks even better than in the pictures. The living room is huge! It also has a very large kitchen that looks like it's been remodeled recently. It has two good sized bedrooms along with 2 full baths, all of which were very nicely decorated. There is also a washer/dryer which was a life saver! The porch was large enough for all 6 of us to hang out on too. It faces the water and the sunsets are absolutely spectacular!

The location is perfect. Not too close to the crowds in town, but not too far to make going out or to the beach a pain. Alex has an information sheet that lists everything you'd need to get around the island. As far as doing business with Alex, it's been said already but I'll add my two cents. She couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. You can tell that she really cares that her renters enjoy their experiences. Anytime we had any questions she either had an answer for us, or she pointed us in the right direction. I wish all property owners were as professional and decent as she is.

We had an unbelievably great time and a lot of it was due to the condo. I would definitely recommend this property to ANYONE thinking of a vacation in Siesta Key.

Home away from home

This was our second year here in February and we had another wonderful time. Alex goes out of her way to make her guests feel comfortable and is only a phone call or text away. My husband had great time fishing on the pier in the backyard and we had fresh seafood often!!!. Our daughter loved walking over every night to catch the sunsets over Turtles Beach. I just loved taking in all of the activity on the water from the lanai. Excellent restaurants are within walking distance and lots of shopping is only a few minutes drive away...Thanks for everything and we will be back in February 2015

Better than the pics. Very clean and quite. Great location and very easy to travel to and from. If you have worries about doing business with Alex, forget them. She is a very good and honest business lady, ALL CLASS!

Best stocked condo I have ever stayed in. Turtles Restaurant was very good.

Peaceful and relaxing!

Our month long stay in this spacious, tastefully furnished and quiet condo was extremely pleasant. Everything we needed was there and we felt at home the moment we walked in. It even surpassed our expectations and the water views from the kitchen, living-room and dining-room were so peaceful. Not to mention the sunsets from the large and private lanai.

We could see the small boats, kayaks and paddleboards quietly going by and we even had a pod of manatees swim up to the private dock! That was quite amazing.

We went boating, kayaking, biking, walking and beaching (Turtle beach is a stone's throw from the condo and almost deserted.

There are also 3 good restaurants within walking distance and the jazz Sunday brunch at Ophelia's is not to be missed (all the crab legs you can eat is just one of the offerings).

The sightseeing in the Sarasota area is truly beautiful and in the evening you could hear the quiet and gentle breezes...

We hope to be able to repeat the same experience next year.

Rentals from one week up to a month for most Spring through Winter weeks are calculated as follows: $1,000 for the first week, $800 for the 2nd consecutive week, $700 for the 3rd consecutive week and $500 for the fourth consecutive week and beyond to the end of the month. Thus, for example, the rental charge for two consecutive weeks early December would be $1,800, three weeks would be $2,500 and four weeks up to a month would be $3,000. For lower priced months the first week is $1,000, the second week is $800, the third week is $600 and the fourth week to the end of the month is $400. As the website cannot calculate this pricing detail, please e-mail us for an accurate quote.
