About Diana Tschirhart
I am a retired home designer/builder who loves to share. I once owned a magnificent houseboat on Lake Powell that I designed and shared with friends and family. I named the boat Amnesia with the goal of making my guest forget about everything besides the natural beauty of the lake! I have named my home in Prescott Amnesia 2 for the same reasons. The original cabin was built in 1952 and was added onto by several owners that followed. I bought the home and did a complete makeover that simply makes it the best vacation rental in Prescott. I have honored the sacred land and the heart of the original owner. The ceiling is the original roof.
Why Diana Tschirhart chose Prescott
I have built hundreds of homes in Arizona and have never found a setting as awesome as this! It is a sacred place without question.
What makes this House unique
Only 2.5 miles from the city square. There is ZERO traffic and complete privacy. The only sounds you will hear are the birds and crickets laughing at you as you run around naked.

$250+ per night is a bit pricey, but we were in dire need of some therapeutic R&R and this place filled the need perfectly. Peaceful solitude during the entire stay! It felt like we were far out in the forest, yet Thumb Butte and/or city amenities were just minutes away. The place had everything we needed and then some. Diana was very friendly (yet professional) to work with. Amnesia is appropriately named, as we forgot about all our stressors of daily life during our stay. We recommend this rental for anyone looking to relax and escape.
Lovely home near Thumb Butte! Peaceful and tranquil.
Thank you for allowing us to stay during the Whiskey Row event! Nice place to stay following the rigorous ride. The views are splendid especially from the spacious master bath. Master bed was very comfortable. Loved the custom woodwork throughout. Oh, and played a game of pool or two. Husband got the better of me on that front ...
Drive up the charming road to a tranquil retreat!

This house was architecturally pleasing and the vistas were superb. We rented the house in February so the road into the property was a challenge. Also, there were critters chewing away in the walls, and while the owner and manager did their best to rid the house of this problem, we left early to give them a chance to resolve the issue. The owner was very gracious and returned the portion of our rent that we were unable to use. Surely a future renter will not have this problem and will have a lovely stay. The owner could not have been nicer.
Dear guest, thank you so much for recognizing that we did our best..and we apologize again for the sound of a rodent and for the road condition. Living in pure nature and solitude does offer it challenges and we do our best to meet them. We had just undergone an extensive humane sealing process on the home and apparently we had sealed it so well that we had sealed one inside. And we are happy to report that the rodent was released back into his neighborhood and we have now returned to pure nature and silence. The record snow storms just before you arrived did wash out a part of our mountain trail and it did require cautious driving right after the storms, again we apologize and we are happy that you found another place more conducive for your business stay. We should have been more clear that Amnesia two is a place to come and commune with nature and forget about the cares of the world.
Blessings to you,
Loved the pool table
Beautiful cozy home!
Lovely artistic space with a beautiful pond and all the amentaties you need for a wonderful time. Really friendly and welcoming host!
Private, peaceful and comfortable
My family (husband and teenage daughter) really valued to quiet solitude offered by this home. Diana was very easy to communicate with and responded promptly to questions. The water feature is very soothing and the home's location makes getting to the downtown and hiking trails very easy. I'd highly recommend this house to anyone wanting this sort of experience. A few notes: this house is quirky, if you're looking for a traditional home, then it may not be for you. We loved it! Also, the road it is on is dirt and very bumpy - be prepared to drive slowly.
