The title of this review is exactly how this place felt to us. Cary and Karyn met us upon arrival and showed us the property and how to use everything. The house has everything you need to cook, clean and enjoy life. The living room is comfortable as are the outside siting areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with more than enough plates etc. we really felt at home during our stay.

Enjoyable Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent 6 weeks at this lovely home. There isn't a whole lot to add if you read the other reviews. They were there to welcome us with a bottle of wine, showed us how everything worked and were always available if we had a question. The property is very peaceful. Manatees come to visit and you can watch fish swim in the clear water. You can find sun and shade at any time of the day somewhere in the yard. The home is clean and well stocked with nice linens and has everything needed to get you going until you get groceries. Grocery store close by, restaurants galore to choose from. Most have live music, happy hours , great food and beautiful sunsets from outdoor dining decks. Key Largo is a nice area. Not too far if you want to travel back to Miami to shop or travel south and explore the scenery as you pass through the different Keys on your way to Key West. We travel every winter and this has been one of our most relaxing and enjoyable places to stay . Thank you Cary and Val for your hospitality. We are looking forward to returning some day.

Wonderful Key Largo!

  • 5 of 5

Val & Cary were at the property when we arrived & showed us where everyhing was located, how to operate the hot tub, the lights etc. They were very gracious hosts and gave us their phone numbers for any questions we might have.

It was nice having the hot tub and the large outdoor seating under the tiki hut!

The manatees visited us quite often & sometimes let us pet them. Cary wrote a list of their favorite restaurants & also three that she didn't recommend. We loved the fresh fish in Key Largo, the restaurants are somewhat pricier here.

Before we left, we found that Happy Hour is a good time to dine to save some money & the times do differ.

Their home is very comfy, spotless and nicely decorated with a nautical theme. I forgot to mention that we really loved the large sunroom to relax in and read! Wii Fii worked well there.

It was great having the extra bedroom & bath, as we had guests for a few days.

This place is move in ready, with everything one needs, even coffee to get you started! It was nice that we were very close to a grocery store, dollar store and a beautiful Catholic Church!

This is a good place to relax on a canal & enjoy your vacation.

Perfect Spot

  • 5 of 5

Cary and Val were there when we got there to quickly show us around and give us direction on a couple things....we never did grill outside but the area was full on if that's your thing or you plan to entertain. We enjoyed the Hot Tub and the outside sitting area the best....sunning and fishing right there on the patio....we actually saved money by staying here because we didn't have to run somewhere everyday...it was so comfy and like I said...sunning and fishing right there.....the inside was fully loaded with everything you could possibly need....we really wouldn't have needed to take anything with us....but tried to replenish what we did use as they were great at having stuff to get you started so you wouldn't have to rush right out to the store....We felt so at home ... everything was so comfortable from the living room to the beds...TV's in every room and even though we were only one couple...the spare room came in handy on those I wanta take a nap days and snoring nights.....:) Have to give a shout out to the cleaning person...everything was spotless! I never used the dishwasher but nice to have had one in case.

Everything we liked to frequent was within 5 miles....and for the first time in 8/10 years of going down...we seen Manatee's.... they actually visit up and down the canal daily....so the Manatee Oasis name fits this place!

The only thing I can say is this place is awesome...you won't be sorry you stayed here and Cary and Val are only a phone call away and very pleasant people! Thanks for a great stay...hope to be back...we will be in touch soon!

Thanks again!

Great Place to Stay

  • 4 of 5

We were very fortunate to find this great place on short notice. The home was nicely furnished and decorated with plenty of room for us (three adults). It has a large entertainment room off the kitchen and a washer and dryer conveniently located in the hallway. I think the best features were the outside areas -- kitchen/sitting area off to the side, great sunsets in the front of the house overlooking the pond area and a nice tiki shelter in the back overlooking the canal. We enjoyed the relaxing "get away" ambiance it offered. The Manatees visited us a few times during our three week stay. It was fun playing with them in the canal.

We enjoyed the Key Largo area with great restaurants to try, many of which had beautiful ocean/bay views. Karyn and Val were very hospitable and accomodating to our short notice needs. Thanks Karyn and Val for everything.

Everything in Pristine condition ....

  • 5 of 5

Everything was spotless, very clean and organized. Great location, quiet neighbors... Karyn and Val were very helpful in guiding us to nearby restaurants, events, etc.

Watching sunset in the jacuzzi was fabulous!

We will definitely be back next year! BTW: we did see manatees in the canal

See you next year... Sheyla
