Cute house!

  • 5 of 5

This was a typical island home, which I love. Danny met us and showed us around the first day. Sonia checked in to be sure we arrived and had what we needed. All linens and paper products are provided. The neighborhood is quiet, except for the beautiful coqui frogs! I went to college and PR and have stayed in Isabela so I honestly expected it to be noisier. Stores and restaurants nearby for everything you need for your stay. The hosts are excellent with communication and I'd recommend this house to anyone who wants to experience PR!

We really enjoyed the house! It is super clean and it just makes you feel you are in your own home. Within a few minutes drive, you will get to the mountains. Recommended.

Great scenery

  • 4 of 5

It was wonderful to wake up and see the mountains. Pretty close proximity to many sights. House itself was a good size and having the laundry was definitely a plus. Really wish there were more things to cook with like more pans and seasoning.

Great Host

  • 5 of 5

I was not able to make it to Puerto Rico for my trip so I can not speak for the property. However, Sonia was very accommodating and pleasant to work with I would not hesitate to stay with her in the future.

Exploring the island of Puerto Rico

  • 5 of 5

The owner of the house was more than helpful with everything. She provided very good maps/directions on how to get to the house as well as to the grocery store, gas station, etc… She provided information regarding tourist activities including beaches and the rain forest. She also let me know of local festivals and events that were of interest.

The caretaker couple were super helpful and fun to get to know. They both speak Spanish and one speaks good English. They are always available if you need anything or just want to hang out and have good conversation.

The house itself is located low key neighborhood. The neighbors are all very friendly and will help you out if you need a tool or anything else. I had no problem with theft or any crime while I was there. The house was nice and clean and it came with towels, pots, pans, and dishes for cooking and eating. It has a flat screen TV. A big bonus was a laundry room out back. I would suggest ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. The house is in a small community of other houses and you will hear dogs, cats, chickens, and famous coqui frogs from time to time. There are very good views of the rain forest from the house. It is close to the south part of the rain forest as well as close to local beaches.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was nice to be away from the normal tourist lodging, getting to know the locals, and relaxing on the east side of the island. I had friends visit and there were no problems with 2 beds and a futon for sleeping. For Puerto Rico, I believe it is the best value on the island.
