Great time

We just got back today! Kim and Jim were GREAT to deal with, the Cabin was just as pictured, loved being that close to mackinaw city! We will be renting it again next season. Thanks Jim and Kim for a great time! A+++ Listing Totally recommend! Jim made personally sure we were having a good time. Cottage was clean and they put a lot of thought into the people they lodge. I even caught some fish!

Cozy and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Our group stayed here for 2 nights while we were in the area for a wedding. The cottage was cozy and clean, and the lake was lovely. Everything wass well cared for and exactly as advertised, and the shower was great. The owner was on site and available throughout our stay, and she was gracious and accommodating. Great location -- you can be in Mackinaw City with a quick drive. We all wished we were able to stay longer.

cozy and clean!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 3 stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! Owners were super accommodating and great with staying in touch and being available for questions if needed. The cottage is very clean and well cared for. Beds were clean and comfortable. Gorgeous, modern shower. Cottage has a great cozy vintage pine interior. We used the grill, fire pit, wifi, and the tv. We loved swimming in the lake (nice and shallow for my 3 yr old son) and also used the kayaks - perfect! We couldn't believe how quiet and peaceful this large lake it - it was truly serene. We can't wait to stay here again!

Clean, cozy and peaceful!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this cozy cottage for three nights along with our good friends! The cottage is clean, cozy and has everything you need for dishes, appliances. We used the firepit, picnic table and outdoor seating to enjoy the nice lot. They do have a paddle and row boat but we did not venture out on the lake. The furnishings are nice and comfortable and the bathroom is updated with tile. We played cards at the kitchen table, spent a day on the island, golfed at Wilderness, ate lunch in Petoskey and even took in a movie and putt putt golf in Mackinac City. It was everything we needed. The only drawback is short, thin bedroom walls, so little privacy, but Kim did warn us! Not a problem unless you are rooming with near-strangers and who does that? The owners were lovely to work with and the place was great. I would definitely recommend it for families, close friends.

Truly paradise!

  • 5 of 5

An idyllic getaway! We visited with our 2 boys (4 and 10), and couldn't get in enough swimming, boating, fishing, hammock time etc. Kim and Jim were great hosts- close by if we needed, but also respectful of privacy;) The cabin was super clean and cozy, and appointed with everything we needed to feel home away from home! You never need to leave, but if you feel like venturing out, it's jut a 10 min drive to the Bridge, or the Headlands dark sky park, which is an awesome place to explore day and night. We couldn't be happier with our overall experience, and hope we can make this trip a yearly event!

wonderful place and host

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful stay in this cozy cottage. It has everything you need! Kitchen with cookwares, comfort and clean beds, TV with a lot of channels, even internet connection. Kim and Jim are extremely friendly, generous and helpful.

The kids enjoyed boating in the peaceful paradise lake every morning and evening, they even provided the life jacket for everyone. We had many day trips exploring north Michigan during our weekly stay, this location is convenient to everywhere.
