Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

Unit G-201. Beautiful, recently renovated 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo on Sanibel Island on the Gulf Coast of southern Florida. Our unit is in the closest building to the awesome, private stretch of Bowman's Beach in Blind Pass Condominiums, which is located on a secluded, natural beach with great shelling, fine white sand, tropical water and vistas, and stunning sunsets. It is an end unit on the 2nd floor and sleeps 6. The one-floor layout consists of a great room with dining area and living room with sleeper sofa, 2 love seats, and large flat screen TV. Bedrooms on either side of the great room each have a ceiling fan and flat screen TV. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, large walk-in closet, and bathroom with tub/shower. The spacious guest room contains two double beds and walk-in closet with a full bathroom across the hallway. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'd want (except food, beer, wine, & booze) plus an additional pantry to store your food and supplies. There is a kitchen with granite countertops, a ceiling fan, dishwasher, and all customary large and small appliances as well as table settings for eight or more. The condo has a full-size washer and dryer, 3 flat screen TVs, DVD player with over 100 DVD movies , cable TV, Wii, iPod speaker dock, Radio & CD boom box (had over 100 CDs but they were recently stolen), free WiFi, phone with free calling within continental US, books, games, 6+ beach chairs, beach cart, tennis rackets, bocce balls, snorkeling gear, two fishing rods & tackle box, beach blankets, umbrellas, 2 boogie boards, 4 noodles, 2 skim boards, beach toys, balls, and other beach gear, pack 'n play (portable playpen), high chair booster seat, stroller, etc. Blind Pass is the northernmost condo complex on Sanibel with convenient proximity to Captiva Island.

Wonderful everything!

This unit is even better than the description. Steve, the owner is prompt & kind- the booking process was a breeze. The unit is very spacious. We are a family of 4 (2 teens), & there was plenty of room. This unit could easily accommodate more. I have never stayed anywhere so well stocked- they have everything under the sun available for your vacation fun! Beach towels, beach cart, beach umbrella, sand toys, boogie board, etc. (not to mention board games, books & DVDs!) It made packing/planning awesome knowing the beach fun was just waiting on us! We made all of our meals- the kitchen was well stocked too with all I needed. The unit was super clean & quiet- it felt like we were in a single stand alone home he whole week. The location is at the less busy side of the island- we stayed on this side intentionally to feel "the space". There were times we felt like the beach was all ours. It was never "busy" or crowded. The beach is beautiful- looking at /& for shells was so fun- endless shells, though it was fine to walk barefoot- there's also plenty of sand. The water was churned with sand the first couple of days- due to a tropical storm that had passed through- but then it became crystal clear. No currents or undertows. We walked along the beach every evening in awe of the sunsets. The complex's pool was great to swim in too! My kids were glad there was a deep end. We rented bikes- though due to being on the less busy side of the island- options are less on where to ride to, but was still fun. We rode to Captiva island & explored some there. Just prior to Captiva at the end of Sanibel is a general store- they do sell scooped ice cream. We also rode our bikes to & through Ding Darling Santuary a couple of times. Sanibel is a true relaxing getaway. We saw manitees, Dolphins, tortoise, lots of unique birds, and of course, a couple of gators (far off;) This unit was perfect & we would absolutely recommend it and stay again .

Owner's Response: Thank you for the very nice review, Becca; Linda and I really appreciate it ! We're happy that you enjoyed our condo and that you had a great week at Blind Pass. It was thoughtful of you to take the time to post the review. I am currently in the process of arranging with a contractor to make some additional improvements that I hope to have done this Fall including kitchen and bathroom renovations - we will be replacing the countertops around the stove and sink with granite, removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room and adding a third granite counter on new cabinets where the pantry sits. We will also replace the master bath shower door with a new one and improve the bathtub to look new. Thought I'd mention that since it's what I'm presently working on. Thanks again for the review !!

From the moment I walked into this lovely space I felt right at home. Instant happiness and instant relaxation! It was beautiful, immaculate, inviting and spacious....and with palm trees right outside every window it felt tropical indoors too! Everything you could need in the kitchen or for the beach has been provided by the owners....who, by the way, were a dream to rent from.

The location of this particular condo is absolutely it's the closest building to the beach and makes the beautiful, short walk to it even easier and faster. So, if you spot manatees under the footbridge, you can go back to the condo, grab your camera and not miss a thing!

Some people I met were complaining that they had a long walk from their parking spot to their rental. Not the case with this place, it's a few short steps away making bringing in groceries a total breeze.

This condo is now officially my GO-TO's absolute paradise....and I can't wait to go back!

Wonderful, well-equipped condo

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a fantastic stay at this condo. I would recommend this condo to anyone, without hesitation. There were just three of us, so there was more than enough room, but there is ample space for 6 people to stay here comfortably. As the owners describe, the condo has a lovely feel and everything is fresh and updated.

We lacked for nothing during our stay and the kitchen had every possible thing we could need. We even found a cocktail shaker so my husband could make me martinis (no martini glasses but the wine glasses worked just as well.) I loved having the washer and dryer in the unit so that we could stay on top of wet bathing suits and we didn't bring quite as much washing home with us!

The beach chairs, beach wagon, various coolers, beach toys, shelling nets and tennis rackets stored in the condo closets made it very easy to get out and enjoy all that Blind Pass had to offer. Despite the closets being filled with all of these great items there was plenty of room for to us to hang any clothes that weren't being stored in the ample dressers.

The three televisions were great to have but honestly, we watched very little tv. Most evenings after dinner we ended up at the dining room table playing games. We brought a few of our own, but it was fun to see what else was provided in the game closet at the condo. The couches were very comfortable, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the entire layout was just great.

The beach was absolutely gorgeous and the short walk was a pretty one. Being in the building closest to the beach path was definitely a huge plus. We saw stunning sunsets and saw dolphins swimming off shore on three different days. We took advantage of the pool most days and played tennis a couple of times. We never used the Weber gas grills that are on the condo grounds, but they looked great and not too far of a distance from the unit.

Check-in and check-out were both very easy and the staff in the office were very pleasant. Even for a busy week, the entire complex had a serene feel to it and I felt very at home and safe. We rented bikes for the week and they were already in our carport when we arrived. The rental company didn't provide a lock as they were supposed to so we left our bikes unlocked the entire time and I never felt nervous that the bikes wouldn't be there in the morning.

Thanks for sharing this little piece of paradise with us. We hope to return in the future.

From the Owner

Blind Pass rates the units in their rental program (107 units in the complex) like a report card (A, B, C...) and ours is rated as an A unit. We had great contractor do very substantial renovations that make it feel like a brand new, up-to-date, spacious, comfortable vacation home and he did a tremendous job ! Blind Pass is unique in many ways; it is secluded from all of the other condos and commercial development making it a very private and quiet setting. The tropical and meticulously maintained landscaping gives Blind Pass a relaxed and almost Caribbean feel. The amenities are numerous including the incredible beach, heated pool, five gas grills, two tennis courts, canoeing & kayaking, clubhouse, etc... It is also the closest condo complex to Captiva Island just a few minute drive or easy bike ride to the north where you'll want to go for outdoor dining, a sunset sail, or any watersport you could name.
