Overlooking it all is the world-famous Wildwood Boardwalk. A 1950s Doo Wop museum includes property from demolished motels such as neon signs and furniture. Convenient but not as nice as advertised

First of all the location of the property was excellent and as expected. 1 1/2 blocks away from the convention center/beginning of boardwalk. There was a public park(swings, slides, etc) 1/2 block away as well which was great for our 3 kids under 3. Easy beach access as well.

At first impression the unit looked very clean and kept up well. However once settled in we noticed a few things we didn't like or were not exactly as advertised.

-king size bed--not a king, maybe a queen size....not really a huge deal however we were told to bring our own linens so the ones we brought didn't fit. The biggest problem with this bed is how unbelievably soft it was....I would think maybe it was designed this way however each side was different causing lopsided sleeping and aggravated my back/neck

-queen size bed..the second room advertised a queen size bed...once again this was false..it was a full...again not a huge deal but the linens we brought didn't quite fit. Now the most upsetting part of this was the actual "queen" mattress. It was so hard and so NOISY, it would wake up the 1 year old every time someone sat up/down or rolled over. We ended up having to move around the sleeping arrangements where a couple slept in the living room on pull out futon. This caused the living room to be quite messy and uncomfortable for the rest of the stay.

-TVs-I understand that while at the beach the tv shouldn't be a big deal however with 2 almost 3 year olds it's a good distraction for an hour or so while the adults prepare and clean everything. The TV in the living room was older than the condo and only had a few channels ....and that's when it actually was able to be turned on...we had a lot of trouble just getting the cable box and tv to actually work. The TV in the master bedroom was great with a wide variety of channels(not that it got watched more than a couple times). The other bedrooms had tvs but they were basically pc monitors and we didn't use them.

-Ants-our unit had ants before we even opened any food. There were ant traps that were placed around the kitchen but it still grossed us out. They weren't over whelming but it was a constant nuisance.

Overall the convenience of this unit outweighed the negatives I mentioned which is why it got a 3 and not a 2. We will definitely be going to wildwood again however we will be looking for a better unit for our crew.

Owner's Response: The time to tell us that you are unhappy with something is when you are here, when we can help you. This is the very reason why you rent from an exclusive full service property management company like Don Martin Vacation Rentals. We are not JUST a rental transaction agency. We are a full service property management company, and we service what we rent. The king bed is a "California" king, which is shorter in length than a regular king. The bed in the second bedroom is most definitely is a queen bed. I don't know why there was a problem with how sheets fit the bed, and we could not detect any problems with it. In order to use Comcast's services, you tune the actual TV to channel 3, and then you leave it alone. You use the Comcast remote to change the channels. We could have helped with this. Upon changeover, we did not see any ant activity. We removed all ant traps (not appropriate!) and we will have the property treated as a preventative measure. "Sugar ants" are a common problem in the Wildwoods and you need to be really careful to clean up your crumbs or spills, and not to leave anything out on the counter that would attract ants, such as an open sugar bowl or fruit. If you do, those ants will find you! Again - we could have helped with this had we known. This rental ad has been running as long as I've been renting this home (about six years), and there have never been any problems or complaints during this time. It is too late to help this renter, but for anyone reading this - know that if you are not happy with something, that you can call us and we will do our best to make you happy. Thank you for reading. Great location, nice place!

This is the best beach vacation of our family! The location is great. It is next to the boardwalk, beach, convention center, and the park. Our unit is special that you can watch fireworks on the corner of the porch.

The living room is larger than we expected. Although we brought all our bed sheets, blankets, and pillows cases. There are backups in the house, just in case you forgot. You just need to clean them before you leave. This is verity helpful if you are travel by air: you do not have to pay for the large luggages.

I like the two car garage. We can keep our kayak and bikes there.

What we do not like is that it is next to a motel that allows pets. So it's kind of noisy.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the lovely review! I've been renting multiple condominium units in this building for five or six years now, and no one has ever mentioned the motel next door. I don't want anyone who reads this to think that it is a problem. It is not! I can't even tell you the name of it! It has never been mentioned to me until just now today. As for linens and towels, yes, this owner does include them here. We would not want anyone who does not have the right size sheets or who forgot to bring the right size to sleep directly on mattress pads or other bedding. But realize that you check out at 10 a.m. There is no time to wash, dry, fold, and replace all the linens and/or towels that you might use in a home of this size prior to 10 a.m. on a check out day. These linens and towels are not offered for general use. If you are flying, there are several agencies on the island that rent linens and towels and I would recommend this service to you and I would help you with links and other information for the services.
