Like sleeping in a tent beside the street
Check-in is at 3PM, we arrived 3.30PM to a room that was a total mess. Contacted the owner who sent cleaning crew right away. They did an okay job and got the room ready by 5PM (but no refund for a later than promised check-in and a bad start to the holiday). Then there are no sound isolation, so you can hear everything from the street, so bring earplugs to at least get some sounds out. The refrigerator also leaks water on the floor. But the location is otherwise good and you get free parking which was nice.
Bad..don’t stay here.
AC was leaking all over the floor, bathroom curtain falling and grease from other people, plates and utensils old and 2 or 3 of each, I told the manager will be 2 adult and 1 kid, we have only 2 towels., the place was dirty when we got there and the management charge us for cleaning services, no extra bed sets or bathroom to change, no beach towels ,or beach supplies. We flow from MA, I didn’t bring any with me. The popcorn ceiling is pealing with water from above of us. Not a single paper or pen in case to write information. I can keep writing.... i don recommend this place. I called to VRBO but nothing was made.
Amazing place clean and in a good location
Had no issues or complaints
Bed for first night was terrible. Had to ask for replacement and different pillows.
Fabulous location. Once the bed and pillow situation were rectified, we enjoyed our stay. Vertical blinds are falling apart and held together by sticky tape. Could not open to access balcony.
Inexpensive stay in the heart of Waikiki
Pros- location, free parking
Cons- everything else. Dirty, noisy, air conditioner was working great but too loud. 2 out of 4 lights did not work. We send 2 emails and called once to the property manager about it, they promised to fix it- nothing happened.
They left 2 towels for the 10 night stay.
Kitchen- fridge is leaking tons of water. Toaster is broken. 1 spoon. Somebody bought disposable spoons...
The building has laundry machine. It requires laundry card, which cost $5, and then you pay for doing laundry . If the property manager invest $5 in laundry card and offer it together with a key- it would be so much more convenient
for the guests !
They give you only 1 key.
Overall: great location -bad apartment, dirty, outdated. If you plan to stay for more than a week you need to buy toilet paper, paper towels and all the basic necessities
- The AC wasn't keeping up, it was almost as there was no AC
- There were no black outs, only very thin curtains. At 6 am the light was hitting your face in bed
- The utensils in the kitchen were very deficient. No regular spoons, no strainer, only 2 glasses, only 2 little spoons, etc...
- The sinks weren't draining properly
- There were no headboards on the beds, it was just the wall. And the bed bottom sheets weren't bottom sheets, they just used the upper ones for the bottom.
We called property manager about the AC and the blackouts, they came one day to check it out, but ignored us after that, nothing was done, even though I called a second time.
The room was also quite noisy. I don't blame management for that, though. That was more a location problem, with all the bars around.
The process of getting the key at a totally different location to where the apartment was, was like a scavenger hunt. After many hours of flight and not knowing the city at all, with lots of traffic, no parking... it was very challenging
