Serene October Stay
The very well maintained cottage on hill by the lake - so much comfort and didn't mind the stairs to the lake, as they wore out the pup. We had beautiful weather and watched the colors turn. Everything necessary for a relaxing week, they even provided puppy bowls & a bed which was sweet. It is an A Frame cottage, so not much head room upstairs, but lots of space in main level.
Our last family vacation was 5 years ago This cottage was great and just what we needed! It was comfortable and roomy. We were able to take our dog and she loved being with us. Spent most of the day down by the lake reading and watching boaters. Our adult children went kayaking and enjoyed it. Would recommend different life vests. The orange ones are bulky Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had pretty much everything you needed Gas grill was awesome! Made dinners easy Cottage is semi secluded by trees. Found it very relaxing and peaceful There are a lot of steps go down to the lake. Good workout! We did not use fire pits. There were two provided The lake water level was very high so the owner had a fire pit on the deck by the lake and another across the road by the garage area The decking looked new, was composite decking We noticed that the area under the fire pit was damaged from the heat from previous use so we did not use it. We could have stayed another week! Thanks Hans for sharing your cozy cottage with us!
Wonderful cabin with a beautiful view!
We had a wonderful stay at LBBC. The cottage had everything we needed and then some. Loved the pole barn with all the entertainment. We had great WiFi. We rented a pontoon boat from Twin Lakes Marina in Lewiston, they delivered and picked it up at a very reasonable rate. My only recommendation would be to have a mattress cover on the master bed and maybe a folder of area attractions and area restaurants. Would definitely recommend.
Glad you had a wonderful stay! There is a "LBBC Guidebook" at the cottage with the local attractions and pamphlets of local establishments. As far as the mattress cover, we'll have to get a new one as there was one on there previously. Thanks for letting me know about these items.
The house was very clean. We loved where it was located. We rented a boat and the lake was beyond perfect. Turquoise blue water, great fishing, tubing, or just cruising around.
Make sure you are in good shape to climb stairs cause there are a lot!!! But, so worth it!!!! Between the lake and the home we were so thrilled to be there.
The pole barn was a wonderful extra. There was so much to do for the kids and adults alike. The owner truly thought of everything!!! We highly recommend this cabin. We made wonderful memories there!!!
The cabin was roomy and had everything we needed for a great getaway!
All the comforts of home!
What a cozy well equipped place for us to get away for the weekend! It was extremely cold outside which kept us from enjoying much to do with the outdoors like we had planned, but we were able to catch a good movie and snuggle with our kids without interruptions! The home has many touches that set it apart from many of the places we have stayed, we wished we could have stayed longer!
I am beyond impressed with the timely response and attention to detail! I had an epic mom fail and forgot my sons “blankie”, upon calling him he reassured me that as soon as they found it he would have it shipped for us! Thank goodness!
We are looking forward to hopefully booking another weekend here in the summer to enjoy the outdoors as well!
For the kids: In Lewiston (~20 min away) there is Smitty's Place Family Fun Center. There they have Putt-putt golf, go-karts, pool tables, arcade games, and air hockey. Plus they serve ice cream and pizza.
For the adults: Also in Lewiston, there is snowmobile and jet ski rental available. They will deliver and pickup rentals right from the cottage!! Click here for more info. Also, take the family over to J & B's for a great atmosphere and an awesome dinner!
