About Celesta Gingerich
We love the outdoors and traveling and have always dreamed of having a log cabin in the woods. Lee loves to hunt and Celesta loves gardening and flowers.
Celesta Gingerich purchased this Cabin in 2011
Why Celesta Gingerich chose Marion Township
The rolling hills of Morgan County are so beautiful and we found this property that has a mixture of woods and pasture. It is away from so much of the commercialized vacation areas, and yet not too far to still enjoy some of the attractions that go with having a good time. The locals are friendly and we have enjoyed getting to know the neighbors and their cultures and life perspectives.
What makes this Cabin unique
We love to stay at the cabin just to get away from the daily grind and then in hunting season, there are lots of deer to chase! We are pet friendly. Please let us know you are bringing pets. There is a $40 charge per pet for the duration of the stay.

Great Christmas getaway
Wife and I really enjoyed this place for Christmas. Awesome cozy cabin, wide open spaces, great campfire area. All around great experience.
The cabin was everything they said it was!
Enjoyed the quiet beauty of the area. Perfect place to unplug and decompress from hectic routine.
Beautiful property; very clean and well stocked.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at Antler Ridge cabin. It was a beautiful location to relax and unwind. The cabin was very comfortable and we'll stocked. It was really nice to have a washer and dryer with laundry supplies included! Thank you for being so hospitable.
We enjoyed meeting you two couples. Thanks for leaving the cabin so neat and tidy and doing laundry. Love that! Hope it works for more times for you to come!
Peaceful and relaxing
Cozy cabin was exactly as advertised. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The property was beautiful and private. It was a wonderful place to unwind and relax. Will plan to return soon.
Thanks for leaving the cabin so neat and tidy, and doing laundry. So helpful! We hope to replace the DVD player that is sticking (you left us a note). We sprayed the wasps outside, hope they leave for good!
Clean, quiet, relaxing, quality cabin
Excellent! Cabin has beautiful woodwork. Appliances were great. Lovely views.
32 acres of private property to hike. Wolf Creek runs along the west edge of the property. Lots of trees, birds, wild flowers, wildlife, and open pasture.
Groceries, pizza, subs, gas, etc. available in Chesterhill.
There is hiking on our property, which is 32 acres. We have trails through the woods and pastures, and a steep trail that goes down to Wolf Creek, which is our property line. Gifford State Park is only 7 miles south of our cabin, and has hiking trails. I was told there is a cave, but we have never gone there.
Numerous covered bridges cover southeastern Ohio. There is a map at the cabin with locations marked. One of them is about 2 miles from the cabin.
Wolf Creek Wildlife Area has several stocked fishing ponds, about 20 minutes from Antler Ridge. Locals tell us they have great bass and channel catfish.
Burr Oak State Park Lodge has lots of trails, and is 30 minutes away, with a scenic drive through the rolling hills to get there. There is Burr Oak Marina about 5 miles from the Burr Oak Lodge that rents pontoons, boats, canoes and kayaks.
We enjoy the quaint town of McConnelsville (20 minutes), with its 'small town' feel and lots of little shops to browse. Twin City Opera House has movies on weekends, and schedules concerts on the 3rd Sat. of each month.
Stockport Mill Inn and Restaurant (7 miles from Antler Ridge) is a restored mill right on the dam on Muskingum River. You can tour the 4 floors of charming rooms and sitting areas and the power turbine that used to grind the feed when the mill was in business. Unique, with great meals on weekends only.
The Wilds is about 40 minutes away, and very worthwhile, with wildlife tours, etc. They even have a Zipline now. You can Google many of these places before you decide.
Athens (30 minutes) is home to Ohio University, with lots of restaurants, parks, bike rentals, etc.
Marietta is about 40 minutes, right on the Ohio River.
Our cabin is not in the commercial area of Hocking Hills; we are about an hour from there. Our area is quiet, beautiful, and away from all the glamour. It is not for everyone, but we don’t know of any guests that have been disappointed.
Morgan County has a website with lots of info on things to do and see.
