The house is colonial, completely remodeled just a few years ago. The design is open and every room is full of light. The very high ceilings throughout the house are amazing.

Great location, superb management

Easy walking to central plaza,Montejo, Santa Lucia, Santa Domingo. Parking nearby on the street. Calle 47 is busy, but noise was not an issue. Joel, the house manager, is completely bilingual and a very responsive, knowledgable, and caring manager.

House itself has a complete working kitchen with nice space, a pool that is well maintained, a small and ecological back yard, and washing laundry machine. Nice spacing overall, including a shaded patio.

Charming Home in Merida

My husband and I stayed at Casa Flor De Mayo for 5 weeks starting in January. We loved the house. It is a lovely old colonial house with high ceilings, beautiful pastel tile floors, lovely patio and pool. The master bedroom is quite comfortable and huge, and its access to the patio makes it even more special. Our son came to visit for a week and was quite comfortable in the guest bedroom that is off the dining room. Merida is a fantastic city, and Casa Flor Del Mayo is in a perfect location to explore it. It is in walking distance to the charming Santa Ana (nice little market inside) and Santiago (and more) plazas, as well as the centro. There are museums, GREAT restaurants, cultural events, and you can find a live music performance just about every night. It's also a great place base for exploration of the Yucatan. Joel is a great manager, very responsive to our questions, needs, requests, etc. He took care of everything we needed. We wish we had stayed longer, and are looking forward to returning.

Nearest Airport : MID at 8 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : La Negrita at 200 Metres Nearest Restaurant : Santa Ana at 200 Metres Nearest Beach : Progreso at 35 Kilometres Car: not necessary

The house is within walking distance from Santa Ana (1½ blocks), Paseo de Montejo (3 blocks), Santa Lucía (5 blocks) and the main square (7 blocks).

Some of the nicest restaurants in town like Oliva, Hennessy's, Apoala, La Tratto, Apoala, Rosas & Chocolate, Mercado 60, etc., landmarks like Parque Hidalgo, Parque de la Madre, the Cathedral, the Governor's Palace, museums like Macay and Olimpo and many other important spots of the Historic Center will make your stay unforgettable.
