Charming two bedroom, two bath condominium located in the popular Bay Oaks resort. The Bay Oaks complex is across from the Gulf of Mexico and world famous Crescent Beach with soft, sugar-white sand. Enjoy shelling, swimming, jogging, or just sunning on the beautiful beach. Or relax at the large BBQ/Picnic area and fishing piers on the bay as you watch for dolphin in the bay waters at the resort!

The condo is beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. Everything to make you feel comfortable and right at home is provided. The living room leads out to the screened in lanai overlooking the pool, a perfect spot to relax and dine.

The fully-equipped kitchen is well stocked and has modern appliances including dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, disposal, etc. The inside dining area will accommodate 6 and is conveniently close to the kitchen.

The master bedroom has a king bed and features an ensuite bathroom. The guest bedroom will sleep 3 with a queen bed plus twin. Additional sleeping accommodations are also provided with a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.

For your convenience, a full size washer and dryer are provided in the unit. The condo is complete with all the linens, dishes and cookware you'll need to make your stay as nice as possible. Free cable and WiFi are available in the unit, and WiFi access is also available at the pool and in the clubhouse.

The Bay Oaks complex offers a large heated pool, his and her saunas with showers, and tennis courts. The community recreation room has a pool table, TV, VCR and a library of hundreds of books. An adjoining lounge with kitchen facilities is the site for weekly social gatherings including cocktail hour, bridge games and more.

Great place!

This really was a nice, quiet, very clean place to stay! Not really a good place with teenagers though since they want everyone quiet and to stay in after 10 pm. I would have gave 5 stars but the bed in master bedroom was really uncomfortable( two mattresses put together) other than that we had a really good time. Home and condo were really great to work with. I love siesta key such a nice place....

Best Vacation Ever

I was so excited to come to Siesta Key with my family and this condo did not disappoint. The location was awesome and we loved having our morning coffee out on the balcony where we could watch our kids down in the pool. It was wonderful having a washer and dryer in the condo so we could go home with clean clothes and not have to face a ton of laundry upon our return.

I think this is going to become an annual family vacation location for us-we've already booked again for next year! The staff at Home & Condo Rentals were fantastic and very informative of the area and what places to do and see while we were in town.

The condo description and photos are overrated. Below are some of the reasons why we rated this experience poorly:

1. Condo had a “musty” smell (refer to item 13)

2. Bed sheets were old and thin.

3. Only 3 wash cloths could be found.

4. Pillow case had dried blood spots on it.

5. Closet in Master Bedroom was used as storage for building materials, such as paint and grout. 

        6. Master Bedroom did not have any light canceling window treatments.

7. Leaky kitchen faucet.

8. Poor water pressure in guest bathroom sink.

9. King bed in Master Bedroom was actually two twin mattresses placed on a king size platform.  Comfort was horrible as  both mattresses were hard and noisy.

10. Clothes washer did not work properly.  Washer continued to fill with water, spin and drain through numerous cycles causing  a normal load to take upwards of 2 hours.

11. Dishwasher did not work.  The door lock was old and worn, preventing the dishwasher from locking and starting.

12. Smoke alarm malfunctioned after a power outage causing unit to chirp constantly.  Only after unplugging and removing it from the ceiling (and building) were we able to get a brief respite from the noise.

13. The HVAC system appeared old and was cumbersome to use.  The wall thermostat was cobbled to a dehumidifier control and was fragile to the touch.  Air quality processed by these units combined with paint odors from the bedroom closet could not have been healthy as each morning we experienced sore throats and sinus irritations.

Although the rental manager (Home and Condo Rentals) was responsive, he left us with the attitude that these issues were no big deal. Two days into our stay my requests to speak with the condo owner was declined. Upon cutting our vacation short by 11 days and returning home, an email request to review the above issues with the condo owners have still been ignored.

Owner's Response: Many guests return to this condo year after year and are very happy with the condition and cleanliness of the unit, as well as the amenities offered and the location. New linens have been purchased, the smoke alarm was replaced, the washing machine is new (and worked perfectly for the guest when we instructed him how to use it), the small leak at the kitchen faucet was repaired, and AC filters are regularly replaced. The above guest had to leave early due to his own personal issues not related to the condo.
