Became my home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

The Hannagan cabin was beyond great! I stayed for 2 months as I was doing work in the Penn Yan area. Plenty of field for my dog to run and the cabin was just the right size for this stay. It was on a quiet back road and my dog and I had a perfect little loop we walked in the evenings. She loved the pond to swim in! If you're looking for a longer stay, this cabin was a breeze to clean , esp with the fur.

I did expect some hiccups being that I was staying for 2 months. Jim was a phone call or text away. The grounds-keepers were also soooo helpful with any issues I had (locked the keys in the cabin on morning). Communication between us all made this stay smooth.

My family and friends loved visiting and exploring the area. I came home with more wine and cider than I expected. Seeing the views of the finger lakes and exploring waterfalls was amazing. Watkins Glen was a quick 40 minutes away. Naples was a 15 minute drive---Grime's Glen waterfall, Hazlitt's winery, and a great brick oven pizza shop were highlights there.

All in all, I'm so happy my pets and I stayed at the Hannagan cabin!

Owner's Response: A very pet friendly cabin with lots of land especially for dogs. The pond is viewable from the deck. We plan on expanding the deck in the fall. Last year we installed a new stove and in July we will be replacing the futon - it will be a sleeper sofa futon. If you like wine tours there is a great one that explores 14 wineries.

Secluded and beautiful

  • 5 of 5

This little gem was such a pleasant surprise! The pictures do not do it justice! Perfect for two couples or a small family. Nicely finished. Loved the wine waiting for us. Deck was wonderful and the addition of the fire pit was perfect. We walked around the "neighborhood" because there was hardly any traffic. Koi pond is beautiful. Close to the lake, town and all the wonderful wineries. Can't wait to return. Don't hesitate to will love it! P.S. We stayed in July 2015, but I wasn't able to go back that far.

Secluded but close to many amenities

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was really nice, and had many modern features that made it feel like a home. The property was beautiful, and our regret is that we didn't have more time to just hang out there. I would definitely recommend staying here, and hopefully we will be staying again in the future.

Cozy, Clean, and Comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

This place was really nice. As a winemaker I loved the classy touch of a bottle of local Riesling and welcome note. Even though we are fairly organized travelers, it was great to have the basket of soaps, shampoo, and toothpaste to choose from. And I would never expect laundry facilities, but we made use of the washer and dryer - they worked great. We were just passing through for a one night stay, but we managed to visit a couple of the many local wineries and really enjoyed ourselves. The folks at Hunt Winery sent us to Top of the Lake for dinner = perfect! I would stay here again.

Things to know:

1. It is located a few hundred feet down a well maintained dirt road.

2. The entrance drive has a dip - easy for most cars, but a low sports car may have trouble.

3. This would be great for a long term stay - wish we had a couple weeks here.

4. The owner was great to work with.

Owner's Response: The cottage is in located in a private area and sits on 7 acres of land. Located just 5 miles from Kueka Lake it is a perfect place for anyone who enjoys a peaceful place to reside. There are 20+ wineries in the Kueka Lake area and all within an hour's drive from the cottage. If winery tours are of interest to you - this cottage would be an ideal place to stay

This was our fourth time staying at the cabin and as always it was perfect. When we arrived there was a bottle of wine and a welcome note, thanks Jim. The cabin is immaculate, cozy and relaxing. While we were there a mother deer and her two fawns stopped by for a drink at the pond. Jim is such a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend this cabin. We will be returning again this spring.

Didn't want to leave!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a month and didn't want to leave! The property is beautiful. Walk up the little hill in the back yard and look around - gorgeous views in every direction complete with lovely grazing horses on the adjacent property. Another amazing spot for a mesmerizing view is from the deck overlooking the pond. Our dogs were so happy running around on 7 acres and we loved that there was a natural border around the property so that they knew where the boundary lines were. The cabin itself was perfect for us. I was surprised by how spacious the bathroom is and how much storage space there is (closets in the main living area, bedroom, and bathroom and lots of kitchen cupboards).

This place had the perfect level of seclusion for us - very private but convenient to several awesome little towns for shopping and restaurants. Also an easy, beautiful drive to Keuka Lake State Park for swimming and picnics. We absolutely fell in love with the area and will definitely return.

We enjoyed a very happy, peaceful month here. Thank you!
