We Absolutly Loved It!!

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time we've used this website and we chose this property for it's price and location and we couldn't have been happier! Elaine was fabulous from the very beginning. She was super great at answering emails, was very accommadating and available if we needed anything during our stay!

The neighborhood was really cute and quiet. The locals were very friendly and the beach is just steps across the street. The view from the house is awesome too!

We loved our stay and highly recommend this property!

Delightful and convenient

  • 5 of 5

The house not only charmingly rustic, it's incredibly well-stocked with everything you need for beach fun or hosting get-togethers. There are beach chairs, a beach cooler, beach toys, ample cooking utensils and a nice, full-sized propane grill, among many other conveniences. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, and the view is beautiful.

My boys (2 and 4) were absolutely enthralled with the house and quaint furniture. They also adored the beach, which has small bay waves and a couple of swim platforms (or pirate ships, depending on whom you ask), plus all the seashells, tiny hermit crabs and snails a kid could hope for. I'd rent this house again in a heartbeat.

Like being at grandma 'a house

  • 5 of 5

It had what we needed, as advertised. The towels were actually kinda fluffy. They beach was right there. Across the road. My kids didn't want to leave. If there is no water (low tide) you can still look for crabs. Neighbors are friendly. Close to all the Pilgrim attractions. The screened in porch is nice because you can still watch the water when it's feeding time for the mosquitoes. Again it's got a little old lady who's lived there forever vibe going on. Comfy beds. TV we didn't use because did I mention the beach. It does have any old lady house aroma which is part of the charm. Kids are begging to go back. Elaine is super friendly and came by one evening to see how things were going. When we got there we heard the distinct chirp of smoke detector dead battery. The neighbor lady Beth got us some batteries right away. She is Elaine's happy helper. I would go back tomorrow and stay longer if I had the means. Oh and because of the fridge/stove/oven etc we saved money on restaurant food. There was another beach close by with a fun sprayground for kids. Go, do, see... stay...!

Cottage by the Shore

  • 4 of 5

We grew up visiting Grandpa's cabin up north, so we were right at home here. The varnish reddened wood, the linoleum, the mismatched furniture and dishes, even the smell was right. The cottage is comfortable and charming. I'd say the only draw back is the single bathroom is upstairs and the bedrooms are open to the roof so there isn't a lot of privacy.

Our grandson and nephew spent hours exploring the beach which is right across the street while we watched from the front porch in rocking chairs. In the evenings, we visited on the porch and rarely saw a car. It's a very quiet, friendly, and peaceful neighborhood.

We would definitely recommend this for families with children of all ages for a real cottage experience.

Right on the bay

  • 5 of 5

Elaine was most helpful. A rustic cottage indeed, but I really liked it. Everything I needed and the sunrise - and sunset too - were beautiful.

And if you like oysters, they are harvested right in the bay in front of the cottage.

Quiet, with good internet. Hope to be back soon.
